Republicans seem to think releasing the transcript or summary would exonerate Trump but I don’t see it. The fact that Pelosi held off on calling for impeachment while keeping her coalition intact negates the claims that this is a rush to judgment

This morning, the White House invited a dozen Republican lawmakers to the White House to review the transcript before it was released to the public -- and to discuss among themselves and ask questions of White house officials. At one point, Trump called in from New York. Among the invited Republican lawmakers: Representatives Liz Cheney, Doug Collins, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy, Mark Meadows, Devin Nunes + Steve Scalise. And Senators Capito, Cramer, Johnson, Perdue + Risch...

I don't understand zombie-think at all.  It's like if he admits he broke the law, that makes it all okay, like the tall tale of Washington and the cherry tree.  But it doesn't.

This is abuse of power at a level we've never seen before.  There was a video last night that Johnson, Nixon and Clinton were all distasteful personal matters.  This is the first time in the history of the nation that a president has committed outright treason.

Because, and Pelosi knows this. The dems do not have anything convincingly criminal on which impeachment will have any weight.

It is just the dems in the house saying hang him, and the hangmen in the senate saying nope.

Impeachment and removal will not happen as long as the two congressional bodies are in conflict, ie, dems and pubs.

It is a futile rush to judgement. Its entire purpose is to smear tRUMP for 2020, not to remove him from office. IF Pelosi had had any kind of sufficiently damaging evidence she would have used it by now. She is being rushed.

Talking is not law breaking.

Where are the criminal actions that occurred?
