         "the research actually showed that after a year of using the drugs there was ‘a significant increase’ in the number of adolescents who said they ‘deliberately try to hurt or kill themselves,'”

Powerful chemicals given to kids to make them 'transition'

'Puberty blockers' face serious probe

The Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom has commissioned a new study to look into the exploding use of chemicals by children under the age of 16.

The organization has instructed its Ethics and the Law Advisory Committee to study the use of hormone blockers for children whose parents, or others, are leading them into a life of transgenderism.

The Christian Institute notes that the only “gender” clinic for children in the country’s National Health Service recently was accused of hiding bad results about its use of drugs on teens, including experimental drugs.

“Puberty blockers are often advertised by transgender lobby groups such as Mermaids as a ‘pause button’ for children considering changing their sex,” the institute explained. “However, doctors have repeatedly said there is no evidence on their long-term safety.”

Carl Heneghan, the director of the Center of Evidence-based Medicine at the University of Oxford agreed there’s a “paucity of evidence.”

The danger appears to be significant. The report explained that Tavistock and Portmand Gender Identity Development Service did its own trial of puberty blockers. Since then, it has handed out the chemicals to more than 1,000 teens, including hundreds under 14.

“However, the research actually showed that after a year of using the drugs there was ‘a significant increase’ in the number of adolescents who said they ‘deliberately try to hurt or kill themselves,'” the report said.

Also, the institute said, a former governor at Tavistock, Marcus Evans, warned about the control exerted by the “trans political agenda.”

He explained counselors feel compelled to affirm transgender “beliefs” in children for fear of being labeled “transphobic.”

The activism of those who treat transgenders in the U.K. also have been questioned in a two-year-old letter that recently became public from former clinicians at the treatment center for children.

The clinicians sent the letter anonymously because of their fear of retaliation for expressing their opinions.

They explained: “Gender dysphoria is real and painful and sometimes hellish. There are multiple reasons for it, and there will be different ways of managing it. One such meaning and ‘solution’ might be to transition, but these are children not adults. These are young people for whom complex and profound confusion and turmoil is being collapsed into a one size fits all concrete explanation. ‘Trans’ can be used not as the compassionate realisation that some people need to take the always radical and courageous step to live their lives as though they had been born into the other sex role, but as a phoney panacea which seeks to shut down textured and nuanced discussion about these children and young people’s internal lives.

“If we can’t bear to hear the diversity within gender dysphoria then truly something has gone wrong – and believe me it has.”

The clinicians cut to the chase: “There is no such thing as a male or female brain and you cannot be ‘born into the wrong body,’ The sloppiness of the language of both the internet and the politicians does you no favors with their conflation of sex and gender.”

They argued that children are too young to be making “trans” decisions.

The letter said: “I need you to know that you really might change your mind, as many have before you. And at that point there will be no funded NHS corrective surgery or therapy for you.”

The Times of London reported the move is the first time the controversy “has been formally addressed by the ethics and law advisory committee of the Royal College, which sets professional standards.”

Illinois Governor Mandates LGBT History Curriculum for Public Schools

The governor of Illinois recently signed a bill that will mandate public schools in the state teach LGBT history, beginning next year. The new legislation will require schools to incorporate “a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people” as part of the American history curriculum.

Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker (D) signed House Bill 246 into law on Friday, which will require schools to incorporate LGBT history in American history courses. The law mandates that all publicly funded schools in Illinois include “the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State” in official textbooks.

“Each public school district and State-recognized, non-public school shall, subject to appropriations for that purpose, receive a per-pupil grant for the purchase of secular and non-discriminatory textbooks,” reads the text of the legislation.

The bill continues:

In public schools only, the teaching of history shall include a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State. The teaching of history also shall include a study of the role of labor unions and their interaction with government in achieving the goals of a mixed free enterprise system. No pupils shall be graduated from the eighth grade of any public school unless he or she has received such instruction in the history of the United States and gives evidence of having a comprehensive knowledge thereof.

According to the legislation, the state’s Board of Education is now mandated to “annually publish a list of textbooks authorized to be purchased,” and is “authorized to provide annual funding to public school districts and State-recognized, non-public schools serving students in grades kindergarten through 12” for the purchase of the textbooks.

“One of the best ways to overcome intolerance is through education and exposure to different people and viewpoints,” said state senator Heather Steans (D) in a previous statement. “An inclusive curriculum will not only teach an accurate version of history but also promote acceptance of the LGBTQ community.”

“It is my hope that teaching students about the valuable contributions LGBTQ individuals have made throughout history will create a safer environment with fewer incidents of harassment,” added Steans. “LGBTQ children and teenagers will also be able to gain new role models who share life experiences with them.”

The new legislation will take effect next year, on July 1.

      “This includes the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, who wrote to you that they ‘cannot support a curriculum that erases the American Jewish experience, fails to discuss anti-Semitism, reinforces negative stereotypes about Jews, singles out Israel for criticism and would institutionalize the teaching of anti-Semitic stereotypes in our public schools...If you live in California, you’d better check the books you child is using for their “school work.”

California Readies New Anti-Semitic Curriculum for High School Students

California plans on adding a big fat healthy dose of antisemitism into its high school curriculum. Perhaps this is why the Qatar foundations has been spending millions of dollars in the American education system?

According to Adam Kredo at Free Beacon:

The California Department of Education is facing backlash after permitting a host of anti-Israel activists to build a statewide educational curriculum that demonizes the Jewish state and is said to be fostering hatred of Jewish and Israeli-American students, sources said.

Already, 83 pro-Israel and anti-discrimination organizations have petitioned the state’s education department to reform its Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum (ESMC) to remove multiple instances of what they say is anti-Semitic and anti-Israel bias.

Opponents say the new material will foster “an unsafe environment for Jewish and Israeli-American students.”

“We are aware that many individuals and groups affiliated with the Jewish community have already written to you about the ESMC’s shocking omission of information about American Jews and anti-Semitism, its use of classic anti-Semitic stereotypes, and its blatant anti-Israel bias,” a coalition of 83 pro-Israel organizations led by the AMCHA Initiative, a watchdog group that combats anti-Semitism in America, wrote to California’s Education Department.

“This includes the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, who wrote to you that they ‘cannot support a curriculum that erases the American Jewish experience, fails to discuss anti-Semitism, reinforces negative stereotypes about Jews, singles out Israel for criticism and would institutionalize the teaching of anti-Semitic stereotypes in our public schools,'” the groups wrote.

Some of the features of this new, bold education plan include portraying “Jews and Israel as part of ‘interlocking systems of oppression and privilege’ and its endorsement of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement as a form of ‘direct action’ or ‘resistance’ that students are encouraged to engage in…”

Political activism doesn’t just happen without some large checkbooks funding the efforts. Let’s meet one of the committee members creating California’s Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum:

Samia Shoman, is a Palestinian-American who teaches in the San Mateo Union High District. Her lesson plans on Palestinian history have been featured as a teaching tool by the Qatar Foundation International, a group tied to the nation and its efforts to proliferate boycotts of Israel. Shoman is also a pro-Palestinian activist on Twitter.

The Qatar Foundation has been funding various programs in the public school system under the guise of encouraging Arabic education.

The Qatar Foundation gave $30.6 million over the past eight years to several dozen schools from New York to Oregon and supporting initiatives to create or encourage the growth of Arabic programs, including paying for teacher training, materials and salaries. The funding came through Qatar Foundation International, the foundation’s U.S. arm.

“This is an attempt to make anti-Semitism institutional,” Masha Merkulova, founder and executive director of Club Z, a Bay Area organization that fosters commitment to Israel said. “This is what the kids are going to learn as part of normal things they learn.”

If you live in California, you’d better check the books you child is using for their “school work.”

         "Parental rights, for example, are targeted for elimination. The coalition deemed parental consent for an abortion as detrimental to the empowerment of “girls AND youth assigned female.”

          A "youth assigned female" is a person who was born a girl, but now errantly believes, or has taken action to become, "a male."

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/abortion-lobby-takes-aim-at-parental-rights

Abortion lobby takes aim at parental rights

Recently, a coalition of 75 organizations including Planned Parenthood, National LGBTQ Task Force, the ACLU, and the National Abortion Federation released a 116-page blueprint outlining a policy agenda aimed at advancing policies for women and children in the name of “sexual and reproductive health care, rights, and justice.” However, after reading over the policies, one quickly realizes that they would substantially harm American families without bringing forth "rights" or "justice."

Parental rights, for example, are targeted for elimination. The coalition deemed parental consent for an abortion as detrimental to the empowerment of “girls and youth assigned female.”

If the true goal of the coalition is to help empower young women, shouldn’t they encourage young women to look to their mothers, their families, or at least an experienced adult such as a judge for guidance in potentially intense and emotional times? After all, considering that adult engagement is required for getting your ears pierced or taking an aspirin at school, surely making a life-ending decision such as abortion is worth a conversation with someone who isn’t going to profit from it.

Cutting out mothers seems like the most glaring oversight of all.

“Of all familial relationships, the mother–daughter one is most likely to remain important for both parties, even when major life changes occur,” write the authors of a study led by Kathryn Bojczyk of Florida State University. “Multiple theoretical perspectives recognize the mother–daughter bond as lifelong, intimate, and developmentally important.”

Distancing a mother’s guidance regarding the health and well-being of their children is terrible policy.

Research conducted by Paula Goodwin of Purdue University and Osman Galal of UCLA has shown that traditional family structures have positioned women to directly impact the overall health and well-being of their families. If the true intent of pro-abortion activists were to provide healthcare to women, while respecting and valuing women, taking mothers out of the decision-making process alongside their children would be viewed as irresponsible, as it devalues motherhood and endangers adolescent women.

Good policy would uphold parental and adult engagement laws, as mothers and fathers are at the heart of a child’s education and healthcare. And parents will be the ones helping pick up the pieces when things go wrong. Judicial bypass laws also at least ensure that someone with the child’s interest in mind is looking at the needs of all.

Perhaps the abortion lobby’s desire to cut out parents has to do with the fact that they want unrestricted access to minors to make an abortion sale. The substantive work of Dr. Michael New has shown conclusively that when a state passes a law ensuring that parents are involved in the decision, the overall statewide rate of abortion decreases by an estimated 13.6%.

Abortion has harmed millions of women across the United States. Often portrayed as a safe medical practice, abortion has been found to scar the lining of the uterus, damage the cervix and other internal organs, lead to eating disorders, depression, suicidal thoughts, and even death. Complications from botched surgeries have resulted in hysterectomies, ending girls' chances ever to have children of their own later in life.

The overriding problem with the healthcare proposal coming from abortion advocates is a fundamental disagreement over what constitutes healthcare. Pregnancy is not a disease cured by abortion. Pushing an agenda that distills all women’s interests down to the presence or absence of abortion ignores needs for economic advancement, access to education, or a level playing field in the law.

A blueprint for healthcare that values and strengthens the lives of mothers and children is a good idea. It won’t be achieved if we cut the ties between adults and children. The real question is who can be better trusted to help a child make an abortion decision, the people who have devoted their lives to a child, or the people whose goal is to make a sale?

Illinois Passes Paw Requiring LGBTQ Classes in Middle School

Illinois Gov. JB. Pritzker has signed a new bill into law requiring the state's schools to teach "LGBTQ history" to students by the eighth grade.

The law will require schools to add the history of prominent lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans, according to the New York Post.

The law states that textbooks “must include the roles and contributions of all people protected under the Illinois Human Rights Act and must be non-discriminatory as to any of the characteristics under the Act.”

“One of the best ways to overcome intolerance is through education and exposure to different people and viewpoints,” sponsor State Sen. Heather Steans (D-Chicago) said. “An inclusive curriculum will not only teach an accurate version of history but also promote acceptance of the LGBTQ community.”

“It is my hope that teaching students about the valuable contributions LGBTQ individuals have made throughout history will create a safer environment with fewer incidents of harassment,” Steans exclaimed. “LGBTQ children and teenagers will also be able to gain new role models who share life experiences with them.”

“The new law’s goal is simple: to understand that people from different backgrounds deserve the same opportunity to learn and be recognized for their contributions in society as everyone else,” added State Rep. Anna Moeller.

The bill passed the House by a vote of 60–42 and succeeded in the State Senate 37–17.

Gay rights advocacy group Equality Illinois supported the bill and said the new requirements will have a “positive effect on students’ self-image and make their peers more accepting.”

ACLU Lodges Complaint Against Amash Challenger for Declining to Host Performance By Drag Queens With Down Syndrome

Congressional hopeful Peter Meijer owns the venue where the group, who call themselves Drag Syndrome, were hoping to appear during an art exhibition. He declined to host them, as he was unsure that they were able to give their “full and informed consent."

While this may seem like a valid concern to many, the ACLU has inserted itself into the mix by filing a complaint with the Michigan Department of Civil Rights arguing that Meijer was discriminating against the group because of their disability. They also claim that declining the group’s performance was discrimination based on sex due to the nature of their performances.

Speaking to the Gateway Pundit, Meijer said that he finds the situation disappointing. He explained that he had donated the use of space in his building to local nonprofits in order to support the local arts community and groups that did advocacy for people with disabilities.

Meijer said that he believes the Down syndrome drag show could have been “counterproductive to the goal of supporting inclusion and belonging of those with disabilities by feeding into and continuing the history of abuse and exploitation — or at least the perception of that."

The candidate said that he was surprised by how many of the people he spoke to shared his concerns.

“At the end of the day, the voices that carried the most weight for me were those who have minor and adult children with Down syndrome and local disability activists,” Meijer said.

BBC Tells Schoolchildren There Are ‘over 100’ Genders

The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) tells primary schoolchildren that there are over 100 genders as part of its “Teach” video series, which has some concerned parents and observers up in arms.

“You know, there are so many gender identities,” declares the head teacher in response to child’s question. “We know that we have got male and female, but there are over 100, if not more, gender identities now.”

The video for schoolchildren aged 9-12 is part of nine new BBC Teach films produced as support material for the personal, social, and health education (PSHE) curriculum in UK schools.

Telegraph columnist Celia Walden has written a scathing review of the program, which she calls “noxious nonsense” that poisons children’s minds, a product of the modern “Emperor’s New Clothes gender diversity narrative.”

BBC is indulging in the “propagation of misinformation,” Ms. Walden writes, thereby betraying its journalistic duty “to deal not in fads, but facts.”

By “willfully warping their minds,” she continues, BBC is contributing to making the new generation of children “as self-obsessed as the supposed grown-ups.”

Self-expression no longer means “appreciating individuality and producing something of wider cultural value,” Walden laments, but “folding in on yourself and behaving in an unashamedly selfish way.”

“All of which is likely to leave us with a generation of lost, confused and angry young adults asking a question we will find it very difficult to answer: ‘How did you let this happen?’” she writes.

          PURE EVIL IN OUR DAY, AND THIS FROM THE SUPPOSED FREE WORLD!

Seize the Means of Education: Labour Backs Abolishing Private Schools, 'Redistributing' Their Asssets

Labour Party members have backed “integrating” private schools into the public education system, effectively abolishing independent education, with the institutions’ assets being seized by the State and “redistributed” to other schools.

The Labour Party of Great Britain took another swing to the far-left under socialist leader Jeremy Corbyn after its members voted on Sunday to back plans that would see a future Labour government abolish Britain’s private schools, signalling members want the motion included in the party’s next election manifesto.

Members also voted to force universities to cut the number of independent school pupils they accept, whereby where currently 10 per cent of university matriculations are private school pupils, that would be capped at seven per cent, in line with the proportion of the wider population of children who attend fee-paying schools.

Speaking at the party’s conference in Brighton last night, shadow education secretary Angela Rayner said Labour will set its Social Justice Commission “to work on making the whole education system fairer through the integration of private schools”.

The members resolved “To include in the next Labour party general election manifesto a commitment to integrate all private schools into the state sector,” which would include “Endowments, investments and properties held by private schools to be redistributed democratically and fairly across the country’s educational institutions.”

Assets are often used by private schools to generate income, either to help maintain their independence, or, along with the tax-exemption charitable status — which Labour also vows to abolish — allows them to provide bursaries and scholarships to working class pupils.

The take-over of private schools would not be without cost, however, with the BBC noting that it would result in some 600,000 formerly-independent school pupils — the school population of Wales — to be educated by the public purse, an estimated £3.5 billion on top of the education budget.

Independent Schools Council chief executive Julie Robinson branded the move “an attack on the rights and freedoms of parents to make choices over the education of their children”, while the Independent Schools Association’s Neil Roskilly pointed out that if integration occurred, “teachers in the private sector wouldn’t choose to transfer into the state sector”.

Former deputy chairman of the Conservatives Lord Ashcroft pointed out that as a result of Labour’s to stop parental choice, private schools will “just pop up in Ireland or elsewhere”.

Labour was criticised for its hypocrisy, as a number of MPs in the shadow government and other senior figures had either benefitted from private education themselves or sent their children to independent schools, including: party leader Jeremy Corbyn, Seumas Milne, his communications director, and Jon Lansman, the Momentum chief, who all attended private school; shadow home secretary Diane Abbott sent her son to the private City of London school; and Labour peer Shami Chakrabarti sent her son to the private Dulwich College.

If you can't sell your hysteria to adults, try kids

Dennis Prager: 'This is but one more way in which the left abuses children'

The entire American left – the mainstream media, the environmentalist movement and Democratic politicians in particular – are celebrating the involvement of teenagers and even younger children in protesting the world's "inaction" with regard to global warming.

And not just the American left, of course. The left throughout the world is celebrating. A 16-year-old Swedish girl whose contempt for adults is breathtaking is an international hero. Congressional Democrats invited her to testify in Congress, and the United Nations has likewise invited her.

The mayor and city council of New York City further politicized their city's public schools by allowing students to skip school to actively participate in a global warming protest.

The message of young climate change activists is: "You adults aren't doing your job. As a result, we have no future." As a sympathetic reporter – are there any non-sympathetic reporters? – for the Los Angeles Times put it, "(T)eens are still waiting for a sign that their elders get it."

The Times' coverage is typical. It reported: "Underneath the activism lies a simple truth: Young people are incredibly scared about climate change. They see it as a profound injustice and an existential threat to their generation and those that will follow. ...

"'They do worry, and they worry kind of a lot,' said Maria Ojala, an environmental psychologist at Orebro University in Sweden. ...

"Arielle Martinez Cohen" – an 18-year-old Los Angeles activist with the youth climate group Zero Hour – "remembers reading a report from an Australian think tank that warned the human species could face extinction by 2050 if society doesn't get its act together.

"'I almost imagine, like, an apocalypse-type thing happening,' Arielle said.

"Many young people say they can't fathom bringing kids of their own into the world. ...

"'It's not ethical. It's literally a burning house,' Lana said.

"'That's something that's not realistic,' agreed her twin sister, Yena.

"And how can they even think about college or contemplate their careers when faced with so much uncertainty?

"'It's something I feel every single day,' Yena said. 'I work really hard at school and I do all these things, and I'm like, "What am I working for? Do I have a future?"'"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And that takes us back to the children: If you can't sell your hysteria to adults, try kids. And that is what the left has done. After all, no one is as malleable or as easily indoctrinated as children.
Consider this: If the left didn't tell them the world is going to end, they wouldn't worry about it. They'd be enjoying their young lives, maybe even learning to appreciate that they live in the freest country at the most prosperous time in human history. Instead, thanks to leftists (who are children in adult bodies), they live in their grip of "existential eco-anxiety."
This is but one more way in which the left abuses children (along with telling them they are neither boys nor girls but whatever they later choose to be; teaching them contempt for their country; and depriving them of the greatest source of morality, meaning, community and happiness – any of the Judeo-Christian religions).
It's depressing, and it's frightening.
The scariest movies are those featuring brainwashed children. This horror show is happening in real life.
