When a PBS station featured “Lil Miss Hot Mess” reading from the performer’s new book “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish” last month, on a program aimed at children ages 3 to 8, the backlash was immediate, with a video of the reading going viral on conservative social media.

“If American tax dollars can be used to pay for 3-8 year olds to watch this PBS Drag Queen Story hour, then I demand equal tax dollars go to also read them Bible stories,” tweeted Tricia Flanagan, an unsuccessful 2020 Republican U.S. Senate hopeful from New Jersey.

Such pushback from the right is becoming more common lately as today’s kid-friendly shows routinely address sex, gender fluidity, race and other complex issues that some parents think their youngsters aren’t ready to absorb. They are part of a broader cultural shift, often called the Great Awokening, that includes the advancement of social justice themes in many television shows and other media aimed at older teens and adults.

But wait, as the TV voice-over might say, there’s more: Netflix is preparing an animated version of “Antiracist Baby,” a book by Ibram X. Kendi and based on his adult work, which teaches toddlers to confess their racism. Nickelodeon recently announced that its reboot of “Rugrats,” a popular 1990s series, will feature a single lesbian mom. And Barack and Michelle Obama are executive producers on “We the People,” a series of animated music videos debuting July 4 on Netflix that the streaming service describes as “an exuberant call to action for everyone to rethink civics.”

The woking of youth and children’s culture is not confined to television. LEGO recently announced an “Everyone Is Awesome” toy set honoring diversity in time for LGBTQ Pride month in June. The limited-issue "Together With Pride" Kellogg's breakfast cereal arrives with the help of the LGBTQ advocacy group GLAAD.

“Title IX exists precisely to ensure that women and girls have equal opportunities in education, including in sports,” Holcomb said. “Girls and women deserve better than having their opportunities stripped away in service of harmful ideology.”

The U.S. Education Department on Wednesday expanded its interpretation of federal sex protections to include transgender and gay students, a move that reverses Trump-era policy and stands against proposals in many states to bar transgender girls from school sports.

In a new policy directive, the department said discrimination based on a student’s sexual orientation or gender identity will be treated as a violation of Title IX, the 1972 federal law that protects against sex discrimination in education.

The decision is based on last year’s landmark Supreme Court ruling protecting gay, lesbian and transgender people from discrimination in employment, according to agency officials. A legal analysis by the department concluded there is “no persuasive or well-founded basis” to treat education differently.

“As a result of today’s action, LGBTQ students will have strong and clear legal protections from discrimination in schools, and a safe learning environment,” he said in a statement.

The decision reverses Trump-era policies that removed civil rights protections for transgender students. In 2017, the Trump administration lifted Obama-era guidance allowing transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identities.

At the time, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said the issue was “best solved at the state and local level” and that the earlier guidance led to a spike in lawsuits seeking clarification.

The new action does not reinstate the Obama-era policy but instead clarifies that the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights will investigate complaints of discrimination involving gay or transgender students. If the department finds evidence of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, it will pursue a resolution to “address the specific compliance concerns or violations.”

The new guidance was issued as a “notice of interpretation” and does not carry the force of law. But the shift could be cemented in a policy overhaul that President Joe Biden ordered in March.

Canada’s House of Commons passes bill criminalizing ‘conversion therapy’

A controversial bill which would punish those helping children with gender confusion or unwanted same-sex attraction with jail time of up to five years passed third reading in Canada’s House of Commons today.

Led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his government’s Bill C-6, often referred to as a “conversion therapy” ban, will now proceed to Canada’s Senate for review.

Bill C-6 passed with 263 votes in favor, and 63 votes against it. The bill had the support from the Liberal, New Democrat, Green, and Bloc Quebecois MPs.

Many Conservative Party (CPC) MPs voted against the bill, including former party leader MP Andrew Scheer, as well as MP Garnett Genuis. Independent MP Derek Sloan voted against the bill, as well, but current CPC leader MP Erin O’Toole voted in favor.

With only a few days left until the Senate breaks for summer, it is unlikely Bill C-6 will be looked at or voted on by the upper chamber until the fall sitting. Nevertheless, the Senate already announced it has been introduced at first reading.

Bill C-6 was introduced by Justice Minister David Lametti on October 1, 2020. It defines “conversion therapy” as any “practice, treatment or service designed to change a person’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender, or to repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behaviour."

The bill has been called a “disgraceful” attack on parental freedoms by family groups.

Gwen Landolt of REAL Women told LifeSiteNews in early October that Bill C-6 is a “wicked” piece of legislation.

Today, Marty Moore, lawyer for the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), told LifeSiteNews that Bill C-6 is a “deeply flawed piece of legislation.”

“While it purports to criminalize ‘conversion therapy,’ it does not target coercive and abusive practices. Rather, Bill C-6 would prevent Canadians, particularly LGBTQ Canadians, from accessing the counseling and support they voluntarily choose related to their gender and sexuality,” said Moore. “Instead, Bill C-6 imposes, with threat of criminal conviction and imprisonment, a one-size-fits-all medicalized transition approach to gender dysphoria. It further prevents LGBTQ Canadians from accessing counselling to reduce unwanted sexual behavior while allowing straight Canadians to do so.”

Last year, Jack Fonseca, Political Operations Director for Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), told LifeSiteNews that “there are no protections whatsoever in Bill C-6 for parents or pastors who, for example, discourage a gender-confused child from identifying as transgender and try to help them be at peace with the body in which they were born.”

Bill C-6 adds five offenses to the Criminal Code. It would be a crime punishable by up to five years to cause a minor under age 18 to undergo what is called “conversion therapy,” to remove a minor from Canada to undergo “conversion therapy” abroad, and to cause a person to undergo “conversion therapy” against his will.

Additionally, it would be a crime punishable by up to two years in jail to profit from providing “conversion therapy,” and to advertise an offer to provide “conversion therapy.”

Late last year, Bill C-6 was amended so that parents could get jail time of up to five years if they choose to continue to recognize their child’s biological sex.

Hollywood is putting more drag in the lives of Americans by re-imagining classic TV shows like The Brady Bunch as drag queen comedies.

Paramount+ is set to stream the comedy special Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch starting Wednesday in what is expected to be the first in a planned series that will re-visit classic sitcoms with casts of vamping drag queens, according to a report in Variety.

The project is the latest drag-themed initiative from Hollywood. On Sunday, Disney+ will host a LGBTQ Pride concert starring drag queen Nina West, with performances of popular Disney songs that will reportedly be re-imagined with LGBTQ themes.

The Paramount+ show is a crossover between The Brady Bunch and VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, featuring drag performers alongside original cast members in a re-telling of the season two episode “Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?” (Both shows are controlled by ViacomCBS.)

Drag queen Shea Couleé will play Marcia Brady, while Drag Race season six winner Bianca Del Rio will take the role of Carol Brady. Drag stars Ben DeLaCreme and Kylie Sonique Love will play Greg Brady and Jan Brady, respectively. RuPaul is also expected to put in a guest appearance.

Variety reported that the cast is looking for other classic sitcoms to receive the drag treatment.

Titles mentioned in a cast interview include The Golden Girls, Happy Days, Bewitched, Who’s the Boss, Laverne & Shirley, Married…with Children, Diff’rent Strokes, The Nanny, and Designing Women.

The notorious Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Steve Bannon Tuesday morning on The War Room. MTG was fired up over The National Children's Museum in Washington DC.

The National Children's Museum was promoting racist critical race theory on their website until MTG pointed it out and promised to withdraw congressional funding from the organization. So the museum took down the racist material.

But after the museum was funded by Congress they reposted the material.

Steven and Marjorie told the War Room audience to reach out to the National Children’s Museum and voice their outrage about the racist material.

Philippine President threatens COVID vaccine refusers with ‘filthy,’ ‘foul-smelling’ jails - Canada can now jail parents if they insist on keeping a child's biological sex.

This is where so many of the world leaders are coming from. In the West, it sounds so much more sophisticated, but it is of course the same thing.

The most insane things keep happening day after day, so here’s a quick summary of all the latest news. The President of the Philippines recently went on national TV to threaten citizens that he would have all those refusing the COVID jab arrested and thrown into filthy prisons. A scientist has admitted that the COVID-19 lab leak theory was ignored because it was “scarier to be associated with Trump.” But, in the midst of all this insanity, the U.S. states of Texas and Florida are fighting back, and so is the nation of Hungary.

Philippines

You have to watch the President of the Philippines threaten his citizens with jail in terrible conditions if they refuse the vaccine. There are absolutely no words to describe it properly.

But this is where so many of the world leaders are coming from. For example, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced COVID passports coming in a few weeks for Canada, and internationally in the Fall.

Remember that in Canada we have the insane practice of locking people in what they call “COVID hotels” for three days after you enter the country without having been vaccinated. Those so-called hotels are horrendous lock-ins and for the joy of this imprisonment you are forced to pay approximately $2,000 per person. Imagine the cost for a family!

Believe it or not, the Federal Court of Canada just ruled this insane situation constitutional! LifeSite reporter Anthony Murdoch notes that Chief Justice of the Federal Court Paul Crampton issued the ruling on June 18.

But of course, Prime Minister Trudeau was not required to do the same. A friend of mine, Brian Lilley, who is a reporter at the Toronto Sun, lambasted Trudeau and his entourage for not following his own rules. And if that’s not crazy enough, the discussions between cabinet members deciding on this policy have been sealed for 20 years so they can’t face the music.

However, a few Canadian politicians are fighting back against the insanity. MP Derek Sloan held a press conference last week with doctors and researchers to condemn censorship of scientific inquiry and suppression of information on risks to children of the COVID jab. They called out the Liberal Trudeau government for concealing the harmful effects of lockdowns, and the efficacy of treatments for COVID that make the so-called vaccine unnecessary.

Canada

Canada has gone crazy not just in terms of COVID. Just this week the Canadian House of Commons passed a bill to criminalize therapy for those with same-sex attractions who want help to rid themselves of their abnormal sexual inclinations.

The bill is truly outrageous and totally one-sided. Canada would still allow kids questioning their sexuality to be convinced to identify as homosexual or transgender, not, however, to identify as heterosexual. Here is the quote from the bill defining what they call “conversion therapy.” It is, they deem, any “practice, treatment or service designed to change a person’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender, or to repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behavior.”

But this bill is much more sinister than you may think. It not only criminalizes those psychotherapists wanting to help individuals with sexual identity problems, it also would jail parents for up to five years if they insist on keeping their child’s biological sex.

There is another piece of legislation that also was rammed through this week. Bill C-10 is a China-style bill seeking to regulate the internet and specifically social media to allow the government to curtail what Canadians are allowed to view. Of course for the leftist Canadian government, all porn all the time is just fine, but conservative speech to defend the family — well, that is considered hatred and incitement to violence.

You might wonder how such an insane bill could ever pass any parliament. Well, it was done at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

I'm never going to Disney again... nor will I buy any of their products or watch their TV/movie series ever again... including the old ones!

There is absolutely no reason for them to go political unless their CEO is a radical Democrat!

Therefore, there is absolutely only one response... don't visit them, don't buy any of their products or watch any of their movies... and ensure your friends don't either.

I've already given up on all sports, the emmies, the grammies, the golden globe awards and all other hollyweird things as well. Not to mention WOKE corporations like (now inclusive Disney)... they're digging their own graves!
