And the defense attorneys were dunces. Great anchoring by Katy Tur as the story developed, as she juggled a ton of guests interspersed with speeches from the people involved, organized by Al Sharpton. Great analysis later on Ari's show by Eugene Robinson, who spoke with Ari about how it was all supposed to be covered up and the good old boys were supposed to run free, and how the video changed everything.

Oh, I see. I was wondering how the right were going to play this. Even the most debased of them would not have a good word to say about those three dolts whose IQs might add up to 100, but probably not.

I suppose they'll trot out Candace Owens to explain how this is not about race.

While Kevin Gough's black pastor & KFC comments were repulsive, he did not make them in front of the jury and it was intended in the hopes of a mistrial or cause for appeal. After the trial, Kevin was outside schmoozing with the black pastors, at least one of which he has been friends with for a long time.

Linda Hogue's toenail comment was a Hail Mary in the  hopes of reaching one juror and cause a hung jury. This comment is likely to hurt the rest of her career.

So Kevin Gough was playing a semilegitimate legal trick, Linda Hogue was simply being repulsive. Is that your take?

that is what the prosecutors suggested but they weren't surprised at either. Hogue's comments were extra ridiculous because the McMichaels & Bryan would not have any way of knowing what Arbery's toes looked like unless they saw autopsy photos.
