I would love to know what dirt Putin has on Trump. It's got to be something good!

This is like watching history happen.  It's like reading a suspense novel and not being able to turn to the back page to see what happens.   So interesting.

I firmly believe this entire Russian and 'OLIGARCH' interference, was to get a certain court case, involving money laundering, stopped.  Bharara was fired and the case was settled, with fines of pennies on the dollar. ..  The prosecutor who replaced Bharara, must have agreed to a 'non disclosure of evidence'..  Or something, because there are no leaks.

Time will tell.

The prosecutor who replaced Bharara

Guess what?  Trump guessed wrong.  Ask Michael Cohen:

Trump Thought He’d Picked His Perfect U.S. Attorney in Geoffrey Berman. He Was Very Wrong.

Daily Beast https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-thought-hed-picked-his-perfect-us-attorney-in-geoffrey-berman-he-was-very-wrong

President Trump must have figured Geoffrey Berman would make the perfect prosecutor. Like Trump, Berman is the son of a real estate developer. Like Trump, Berman graduated from Wharton School. Like Trump, Berman once owned a New Jersey sports franchise, in his case a minor league hockey team in Trenton, the Titans. Berman was a Republican and a managing shareholder at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, home to Rudy Giuliani, one of Trump’s blindest supporters. Berman had even donated $5,400 to Trump’s campaign in 2016. So, after interviewing him in person, Trump decided Berman was just the one to become the new interim United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York...But what did this seemingly perfect prosecutor do when the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office got a referral from Special Counsel Robert Mueller concerning Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen?...No, this guy Berman immediately went and recused himself like some Yankee version of Attorney General Jeff Session...And with the recusal by Berman the developer’s son, the referral from Mueller is being handled by the deputy U.S. Attorney, Robert Khuzami. He is the son of two professional ballroom dancers...Deputy U.S. Attorney Khuzami is a Republican and even spoke at the 2004 Republican convention in support of George W. Bush. But that will only make it harder for Trump to say he is the victim of Democrats. And Khuzami is an expert at financial crimes, having ordered the arrest of 120 people for securities fraud in a single day during his earlier time as a Manhattan federal prosecutor.

Judge denies President's request to confidentially contest seized Cohen documents…

(CNN) — After President Donald Trump's lawyers sought to keep their protest over privilege in Michael Cohen's seized documents confidential, federal Judge Kimba Wood told them they must publicly file their objections to the special master's attorney-client privilege designations. The only thing Trump will be able to discuss with the court confidentially will be the "substance of the contested documents," Wood said Friday.Several news organizations, including CNN, had implored Wood to maintain "the greatest transparency possible in the these proceedings" and regarding the documents they want to keep under attorney-client privilege. On Monday, the special master appointed to review the seized materials for items that might be protected by attorney-client privilege said a very small number fell into that category. The special master, Barbara Jones, said 162 items out of 292,409 items she reviewed are privileged. Three items she said are "highly personal."

Manafort ignored advice to stop talking with Russian-linked associate after indictment: report

The Hill   http://thehill.com/business-a-lobbying/391464-manafort-refused-to-stop-talking-with-russian-linked-associate-after

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort ignored the advice of his allies and continued to talk to a Russian associate even after he was indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller, The New York Times reported late Friday.Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik traded emails throughout the 2016 presidential campaign — even appearing to discuss the financial benefit Manafort’s high-level position could bring, according to the report.Manafort reportedly continued to communicate with the trusted associate after first being indicted in October 2017 for money laundering.Allies of Manafort urged him to cut off communication with Kilimnik, also known as “KK,” The Times reported. They reportedly argued that Kilimnik's communications could be bugged and that he is not discreet or tactful.Kilimnik, a Russian Army-trained linguist, was Manafort’s right-hand man for more than a decade and ran the Kiev office of Manafort’s political consulting company, Davis Manafort Partners.

Our allies essentially told (correctly) Trump to go to hell over his transparent (and indefensible) efforts to help the man who apparently has dirt on him, Putin, at the G7 conference:

May says G7 will act over Russia's 'malign activity'

Prime Minister Theresa May has said the G7 will take further action against Russia if it continues to interfere with other countries. Leaders were sending "a clear message that such malign activity will never be tolerated" after the poisoning of the Russia ex-spy Sergei Skripal, she said...Ahead of the summit in Quebec, US President Donald Trump had called for the G7 to re-admit Russia. But Mrs May said Russia needed to "change their ways" before being invited back into the group.Russia was expelled in 2014 in response to its annexation of Crimea."If there are to be any conversations about Russia's future in relation to this particular group, they have to change their ways, they have to change the route that they are taking and the sort of activity they are involved in," Mrs May said...Mrs May has been attempting to build an alliance against Russia while at the G7.In her speech, she welcomed the joint communiqué by world leaders, which criticised Russia's attempts to "undermine democratic systems".The communiqué also endorsed the UK's assessment that Russia was responsible for the nerve agent attack.

Never ignore legal advice .... unless it's from Rudy, then you might at least think about it carefully!

Trump's flip-flop keeps flipping - love Putin one day, give him a slap, albeit a wimpy one,  the next:

U.S. sanctions Russians over military, intelligence hacking

Reuters 12:14pm EDT

The U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions on three Russian individuals and five companies on Monday, saying they had worked with Moscow’s military and intelligence services on ways to conduct cyber attacks against the United States and its allies.  “The United States is engaged in an ongoing effort to counter malicious actors working at the behest of the Russian Federation and its military and intelligence units to increase Russia’s offensive cyber capabilities,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement...The Treasury said Russia’s “malign and destabilizing cyber activities” included the NotPetya attack last year, which spread across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The White House in February blamed Russia for the attack, saying it caused billions of dollars in damage and was part of the Kremlin’s effort to destabilize Ukraine. The attacks also included assaults on the U.S. energy grid and on internet routers and switches, the Treasury said...The designated firms are Digital Security, ERPScan, Embedi, Kvant Scientific Research Institute, and Divetechnoservices.
