When I was a kid, a long time ago, the "pill" birth control pill, was considered a sin by some religions, the RCC for one. Many believed children were established by God and we should not take any type of contraception. When the pill came out, the debate of when does life start was created.

Was it at conception?

Was it at the heartbeat?

Was it at birth?

Was it 40 days after birth?

Today, we have the "Morning After Pill" which aims to not allow conception or not allow the fertilized egg to attach to the wall of the womb and grow.

What's your opinion, when does life start? When is it okay to stop birth?

To begin with, birth is life and life belongs to God, not people.  People use their own life and others' life in one way or another but people do not own life.  Only God owns life.  For people to stop a life is to kill that life.  For people to kill life is people taking or stealing a life from God, for all life belongs to God alone, not people.  All creation is God's possession.

That's why the Law of God, the Ten Commandments, command people to not kill nor steal, etc, for everything we see and hear on this old planet belongs to God, and that God given life itself includes His provision given to and for people, for God meets our needs and He also gives us the desire of our heart where needs be.

God is good all the time.  We are not.

"With" God first, His the first breath of life itself and by the seed of life secondarily, for life created by God belongs to God.  People are His possession, whether they particularly like God or not.

Abortion is not birth control.  Abortion is not only a convenient kill, but a premeditated one.

A pastor, priest and rabbi were having a discussion on when life begins.

"At conception," said the priest.
"At the first trimester," said the pastor.

They both looked at the rabbi and asked his opinion.

"We believe life begins when the dog dies and the kids leave home."

A living human being begins at conception and should be protected AS LIFE WITH A RIGHT TO LIFE,...NOT to be murdered out of deliberation and (generally) unwanted inconvenience.

bob>What about the 9 months before birth?

People use their own life and others' life in one way or another but people do not own life.  Only God owns life.  For people to stop a life is to kill that life.  For people to kill life is people taking or stealing a life from God, for all life belongs to God alone, not people.  All creation is God's possession.

bob>That is so true!

bob>So, life starts with "breath?"

Abortion is not birth control.  Abortion is not only a convenient kill, but a premeditated one.

bob>But, if life starts with "birth" and with "breath" then the baby in the womb is not having life until it's born/birthed. So, abortion would not put an end to life. ???

Bob (Bobbylee7) said...

bob>So, life starts with "breath?"

In the beginning, life begins and is the breath of God first, the breath of the spirit of life.  Nothing is known to have changed about that.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.  Gen 2:7, (7:22)

Bob (Bobbylee7) said...

bob>What about the 9 months before birth?

Life within the womb of life.  Where there is life there is life.

Bob (Bobbylee7) said...

bob>But, if life starts with "birth" and with "breath" then the baby in the womb is not having life until it's born/birthed.

In my personal understanding, the baby is living alive and well within the womb.  Birth starts with birth and life starts at conception.

Bob (Bobbylee7) said...

As you know, the result of an abortion can bring an end to life on earth.  I was born through a botched abortion though, and I'm still here.
