Just felt that all Blacks should be talked about in the history books on fighting for the South as well as the North because there where many Black land owners in the South that also own slaves

>>I read somewhere that all of "the five civilized tribes" EXCEPT The Seminole fought on the confederate side.<<

Cabin Creek was a vicious attack on Blackindian men, women and children.

More importantly, it would stop the attitude that whites died during the civil war to free blacks. Wehn the war was about almost everything but.

I must admit to becoming dumbfounded and frustrated by both reactions and overreactions which reflect a lot of other parties self serving double standard:

But,  via every conflict you are bound to find that some are only it is based on 'what's in this for me' ,   as opposed to others whose deeds and words were (or are)  motivated by lofty ideas and goals...

So let us remember to give props to our ancestors and our own allies even as we go about berating and chiding our foes...

FYI...

Later...

Peace..

Cabin Creek was an Indian villiage mostly comprised of women and children. An Indian confederate general attacked and murdered everyone.
