Staying quiet about who you are is not the same thing as changing who you are. Now that you have done the public the service of letting people know exactly who you are, the public do not want anything to do with you anymore, and staying quiet about it will not change that.

From now on, Disney will remain quiet about politics, report says

Disney plans to keep quiet about politics after publicly sparring with Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis over legislation related to LGBT content in education, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“This was shock and awe from the governor,” Republican Florida state Sen. Jeff Brandes, who voted against the Disney bill told the WSJ. “It just shows how big a challenge Disney faced in saying anything at all in the legislative process.”

Republican lawmakers reportedly told Adam Babington, Disney’s top government affairs official in Florida, that the company may be able to salvage their special district if they stepped out of the public fight, according to the WSJ. “Cool it off. Let’s not make a big deal about this,” said Babington, according to the WSJ.

“Waging culture wars against common-sense legislation – on parental rights and child safeguarding – is bad for business, particularly for a company that has built a successful brand over the decades by marketing wholesome entertainment to families,” DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“No corporation could possibly have swayed Governor DeSantis’ dedication to protecting kids and parents’ rights,” Pushaw said. “Disney’s vow to ‘repeal’ HB 1557 and overrule the majority of Floridians, as well as our legitimately elected government, has backfired as expected.”

Disney publicly opposed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, which bans classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation in kindergarten through third grade. The company initially ignored the legislation, which critics and LGBT activists call the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, but CEO Bob Chapek voiced opposition to the bill following a media pressure campaign highlighting Disney’s silence.

"In the letter, the NSBA specifically referenced parents who protested the teaching of CRT in the classroom, suggesting such actions should be classified as "domestic terrorism."

In that case it would appear that the majority of Americans are domestic terrorists. That should keep the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security very busy.

Head of DHS Disinformation Governance Board called opponents of critical race theory 'disinformers'

The Biden administration's disinformation czar referred last fall to opponents of critical race theory (CRT) as "disinformers," accusing them of peddling disinformation to stoke anger and make money off the uproar.

Nina Jankowicz, who was recently appointed head of the Department of Homeland Security's new and controversial Disinformation Governance Board, dismissed parents' concerns about the teaching of  CRT in their children's classrooms while speaking in Ohio in October. "Critical race theory has become one of those hot-button issues that the Republicans and other disinformers, who are engaged in disinformation for profit, frankly ... have seized on," said Jankowicz, who at the time was a fellow at the Wilson Center, a think tank in Washington, D.C.

"But it's no different than any of the other hot-button issues that allow disinformation to flourish," continued Jankowicz. "It's weaponizing people's emotion." Jankowicz, who was responding to a question about Republicans "taking advantage" of parental opposition to CRT, added that she lived in Loudon County, Va., "one of the areas where people have really homed in on this topic." ~~~~~~~

Jankowicz was speaking at the City Club of Cleveland at an event titled "Disinformation and Democracy: Civic Discourse in the Digital Age." Her remarks came just one month after the National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent a letter to President Biden asking his administration to investigate threats against public school officials.

In the letter, the NSBA specifically referenced parents who protested the teaching of CRT in the classroom, suggesting such actions should be classified as "domestic terrorism." The NSBA requested that the Justice and Homeland Security departments probe and prosecute these "crimes" under "the Patriot Act in regards to domestic terrorism."

"Still, it appears the decision is already paying dividends. According to The Wall Street Journal, CEOs are rethinking going woke and asking how they can stay out of the firing line in the future."

Ron DeSantis' Strategic Strike on Disney Starts to Pay Dividends

The last several weeks have been full of consternation from the left and right over Gov. Ron DeSantis' move to strip The Walt Disney Company of its special-governing status. That followed a fierce public battle in which Disney trashed Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education law, vowing to see it overturned. That law simply forbids the teaching of sexuality or so-called “gender theory” to small children, K-3rd grade.

Things really touched off, though, once a leaked video from an internal Disney meeting showed producers and executives talking about a “not-so-secret gay agenda” and the forcing of sexuality into programming meant for kids.

Whether DeSantis had the power to do what he did has never really been in question. Clearly, corporations are not legally entitled to their own fiefdoms at the expense of taxpayers. Rather, philosophical arguments have taken center stage. Namely, whether the Florida governor’s move qualifies as suppressing free speech.

Still, it appears the decision is already paying dividends. According to The Wall Street Journal, CEOs are rethinking going woke and asking how they can stay out of the firing line in the future.

In private meetings and coaching sessions over the past few weeks, top business leaders have been asking a version of the same question: How can we avoid becoming the next Walt Disney

The fallout from the recent political spat between Disney and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has alarmed leaders across the corporate sphere, according to executives and their advisers, and heightened the challenges for chief executive officers navigating charged topics.

The rest is behind a paywall, but you get the idea. After what DeSantis did, top business leaders are concerned that they could lose special tax benefits and other crony-capitalist arrangements that give them an advantage over normal people.

Good...

Rule #1: Go woke... go broke!

Rule #2: Parents get pissed when any kind of grooming is planned for their children.

Rule #3: Use your common sense and go back and read Rules #1 & #2!

“Dispensers have been installed in all elementary and middle school girls’ restrooms, and more will be installed in all remaining bathrooms, including boys’ restrooms, next year.”

Do you not find this objectionable. Why should boys have to wait until next year for their tampons and sanitary pads, when the girls can have them right away? Oops. I'm sorry. Did I use those insensitive words, "boy," and "girl"?

Portland schools offer free feminine-hygiene products in boys' bathrooms for 'menstruating students'

Portland Public Schools plans to provide free menstrual products in both the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms as districts move to comply with an Oregon state law for “menstruating students.”

“Starting next year (2022-23), products will be available in all restrooms (male, female, and all-gender) in every PPS building where education occurs,” said the April 19 memo titled “Update on PPS Implementation of Menstrual Dignity Act.”

Last year, Democratic Gov. Kate Brown signed HR 3294, which requires K-12 public schools and universities to stock bathrooms with tampons and sanitary pads at no cost to students to give them the “opportunity for safe, dignified self-care.”

“To ensure timely compliance, PPS ordered 500 dispensers,” said the PPS memo posted on the Harriet Tubman Middle School website.

“Dispensers have been installed in all elementary and middle school girls’ restrooms, and more will be installed in all remaining bathrooms, including boys’ restrooms, next year.”

Well... I must admit that you can shove them up your butt... but they won't prevent menstruation because men don't have menstruation... especially from their butts!!!

This is a ludicrous waste of taxpayer dollars and they need to be called out for it!

"Mental health for LGBT youths" is an oxymoron.

Taco Bell promotes LGBT advocacy in drag queen shows at its restaurants

Taco Bell is offering professional cross dressers along with a new $5 Bell Breakfast Box, Cinnabon Delights coffee and mimosas in a five-city “Drag Brunch Tour” that promotes mental health for LGBT youths.

The company says the brunches, which started Sunday at its Las Vegas Cantina, will feature drag queens and drag kings performing lip-sync routines on stage at the Mexican fast-food restaurants.

“We understand the importance of creating safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community and are thrilled to provide a unique experience that spotlights and celebrates the wonderful art form of drag and its influence in culture with their chosen families,” Sean Tresvant, Taco Bell’s global chief brand officer, said in a statement.

Taco Bell follows several big U.S. corporations such as The Walt Disney Co. that have recently promoted LGBT and transgender rights. It remains to be seen, however, whether the “woke” initiatives will appeal to consumers.

“Conservative populism is on the rise around the globe, so adopting left-leaning views or policies is risky for business,” Allen Mendenhall, associate dean of the business school at Troy University in Alabama, told The Washington Times in an email.
