Good morning,  Stormshadow!

And both black run Freedmen Descendants Associations know that too!

But one is merely concentrating on the ongoing battle between the Cherokee Freedmen seeking re-inclusion and the present tribal leadership desperately seeking continuing exclusion of them...

How it will eventually be resolved?

Who knows?!?

Ditto just how and pray for the best!

Take care...

Later...

Peace...

The Cherokee Freedmen out number Freedmen of the other four Tribes. Where are the two organizations on the Freedmen of the Creek, Choctaw, Chicasaw, and Seminole?

Hecky naw!    LOL

You know they don't talk about much of anything when it comes to Black Natives.    That's what sort of gripes me and that's why I stopped going to alot of those groups.    I only pop in off and on now.    Their only interests are full bloods and White Natives.    They don't have any interest in Black Natives.

I know! We have faced the same genocide they have. But some can be so selective when it comes to these issues.

Right now, we have a common interest with so many of them too. The tribal governments are disenrolling so many people because of casinos.

I never realized that there was so much predjudice towards those who are Black mixed Natives as there is.   I guess I was living in a dream world or something.   I was going on the history that Blacks and Natives once had when the two groups were much closer.   That has been lost in our life time.

A lot has changed between then and now. So many of the Tribes went through a kind of vetting process by.......yep! you guess it......The government. At that time racist and corupt Indian comissions determined who was Indian and who wasn't.

Good morning,  Stormshadow...

And all I can suggest is you check out the AFRICAN-NATIVE-AMERICAN GENEOLOGY forum's posts  (where you will eventually find some of the answers to your questions)!

Good luck...

Best wishes...

Peace...

Good morning and hello again,  Bee Bee!

But the reality is black indian groups are relative new and looking for their best interests has come pretty slow if at all...

They're scattered here and there...

And they have yet to unite behind a shared agenda...

Just hope and pray they will soon...

FYI...

Peace...

I know there are more Cherokees, but it seems like the other four are under-represented.

In all due candor and honesty:

You'll just have to take my advice  and be patient et al until you find out about those other Freedmen Descendant advocacy groups...

The two main ones are either advancing that group's agenda or more or less umbrella organizations...

FYI...

Peace...
