There could very well be a connection. The whole Pacific Rim seems to be connected.

Good morning,   Jeanne!

But both Stormshadow's speculation and the Prez declaring islands in your part of the Pacific area disaster areas leads me to wonder what we're not being told too...

FYI...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if something's going on that we're not being told. It wouldn't be the first time.

As long as what we're not being told isn't something like North Korea set off their nuclear testing under Hawaii....it was bad enough when we were told that North Korea had missles aimed at the west coast of the U.S. Mainland and they'd hit Hawaii before they'd ever get to the west coast!

Yeah, that underground nuke test they claimed to have set off did create sizmic (sp?) activity in the North Korea area.

Hawaii hasn't had an earthquake like that for over 30 years and it's certainly the first one since I've lived in Hawaii - I've been here 27 years. I was used to feeling earthquakes when I lived in Southern California. But it's very unusual here in Hawaii - even with the activity of the active volcano on the Big Island. Kilauea has been erupting continuously for 23 years and we've never had a quake like this in all that time until this past Sunday. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Good morning,   Jean and Stormshadow...

And,  while I don't just dismiss any or every sort of speculation,   do keep in mind both the U. S. and the old Soviet Union (run/lorded over by the Russians)  also did and do have large stockpiles of wmd's...

But only one ever claimed the role of the world's  'peacmaker'...

Also do keep in mind how the one constantly hypes 'saving'  or 'bringing democracy'  to the world's nonwhite people...

Neither am I a 'defender'  of the North Korean communist regime...

But are they merely part of ole Tex's  'axis of evil'  or is he truly the latest of the last white world powers warmongers?

And is Communist Korea a modern day version of Imperial Japan ala the thirties?

My and the and more to the point:

Let us not base our viewpoints et al on somebody else's delusions then come to wrongheaded conclusions...

From a friend...

Aloha...
