"But Only Wants to Testify in Public So He Can Refuse Questions"

That is not why Comey wants to testify publicly. The real reason is as follows. In an open hearing, the questioners are only given 5 minutes at a time, and that is not enough time for a deep probe for real answers. In a closed door hearing, the questioners are given far more time to work with.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/11/james-comey-says-he-got-a-subpoena-to-testify-but-only-wants-to-testify-in-public-so-he-can-refuse-questions/

James Comey Says He “Got a Subpoena” to Testify — But Only Wants to Testify in Public So He Can Refuse Questions

Arrogant leaker and fired FBI Director James Comey announced on Twitter on Thanksgiving that he received a subpoena to testify before Congress.

Republicans have until the new Democrat Congress is sworn in to question Comey on his actions during the 2016 election and before he was fired from the FBI in 2017.

James Comey and the Obama administration spied on the Donald Trump Campaign in 2016 based on faulty information.

Comey wants to testify in public so he can refuse to answer any incriminating questions.
He’s not fooling anyone.

"And he told the agent that Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz recognized his whistleblower status, the lawyer said....The lawyer called the raid an “outrageous disregard” of whistleblower protections."

This looks to me like the FBI desperately trying to get hold of the originals on documents that will hurt the Deep State in court. Copies can still be used against the Deep State, but I do not think they are quite as effective as the originals. I welcome any other viewpoints, because I can't think of anything else that even begins to make sense.

16 FBI agents raid whistleblower's home

Case involves Clinton Foundation, Russia-Uranium One deal

The FBI raided the home of a whistleblower who possessed documents showing federal officials failed to investigate potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and the Russian company that purchased Uranium One, according to the whistleblower’s lawyer.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported 16 agents arrived at the Union Bridge, Maryland, home of Dennis Nathan Cain, a former FBI contractor, on the morning of Nov. 19.

The lawyer, Michael Socarras, told the Daily Caller that Cain had turned the documents over to the Department of Justice’s inspector general, and both the House and Senate Intelligence committees

The raid was permitted by a court order signed Nov. 15 by federal magistrate Stephanie A. Gallagher in the U.S. District Court for Baltimore.

Socarras said the FBI rummaged through Cain’s home for six hours, even after the whistleblower handed over the documents.

The delivered documents allegedly show that then-FBI Director Robert Mueller failed to investigate allegations of criminal misconduct pertaining to the Russian company, Rosatom, and to other Russian government entities attached to Uranium One, the Daily Caller said.

Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer was the first to report the alleged "pay for play" scandal surrounding the Russians’ purchase of a company that controlled one-fifth of U.S. uranium reserves while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. Schweizer found that nine foreign investors in the Uranium One deal gave $145 million to the Clinton Foundation, and the New York Times confirmed in an April 2015 story Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation.

“The bureau raided my client to seize what he legally gave Congress about the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One,” Socarras told the Daily Caller.

The lawyer called the raid an “outrageous disregard” of whistleblower protections.

Socarras said the special agent who led the raid charged that Cain possessed stolen federal property.

Bureau spokesman Dave Fitz told the Daily Caller he had no comment other than to acknowledge that on Nov. 19, the FBI “conducted court authorized law enforcement activity in the Union Bridge, Maryland area.”

Cain informed the agent while he was at the door that he was a recognized protected whistleblower under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act. And he told the agent that Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz recognized his whistleblower status, the lawyer said.

Socarras said Cain further told the FBI agent the documents had been properly transmitted to the Senate and House Intelligence committees as permitted under the whistleblower act.

Horowitz had a member of his staff physically take the documents to the House and Senate Intelligence committees, Socarras said.

“For the bureau to show up at Mr. Cain’s home suggesting that those same documents are stolen federal property, and then proceed to seize copies of the same documents after being told at the house door that he is a legally protected whistleblower who gave them to Congress, is an outrageous disregard of the law,” the lawyer said.

"Rosenstein and Mueller, by their silence on this investigation hidden from Congress and the American people, come off as unindicted coconspirators in Hillary's crimes.  We may soon find just how much Robert Mueller was involved in killing a serious investigation into Uranium One."

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/12/is_the_fbi_raiding_whistleblowers_homes_to_protect_robert_mueller.html

Is the FBI Raiding Whistleblowers' Homes to Protect Robert Mueller?

Back on October 19, 2017, I raised the question of just how much Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy A.G. Rod Rosenstein actually knew about Hillary Clinton and Uranium One, since it had been reported that the FBI was aware before the deal was approved in 2010 that Russia was engaging in criminal activity to penetrate our nuclear industry and gain access to chunks of our uranium reserves.

Earlier, in July, I callded for a criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton's collusion with Russia  to turn over control of 20 percent of our uranium supplies to Russian interests in return for some $145 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation.  It turns out that there was one: an FBI investigation dating back to 2009, with current deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein and Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller up to their eyeballs in covering up evidence of Hillary's collusion, bordering on treason, with Vladimir Putin's Russia:

Prior to the Obama administration approving the very controversial deal in 2010 giving Russia 20% of America's Uranium, the FBI had evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were involved in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering in order to benefit Vladimir Putin, says a report by The Hill[.]

John Solomon and Alison Spann, writing in The Hill, reported on an investigation that suddenly and mysteriously vanished off the radar as Hillary Clinton was seriously contemplating being Obama's successor:

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show[.]

If evidence of bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and money-laundering in the Uranium One affair are not grounds for a special prosecutor assigned to investigate Hillary Clinton, what is?  Rosenstein and Mueller, by their silence on this investigation hidden from Congress and the American people, come off as unindicted coconspirators in Hillary's crimes.  We may soon find just how much Robert Mueller was involved in killing a serious investigation into Uranium One.

Dennis Nathan Cain is a Department of Justice whistleblower who had obtained documents showing how Robert Mueller failed to properly investigate Uranium One and Hillary's involvement in it, actually aiding and abetting a cover-up to protect her presidential ambitions.  As The Daily Wire reports:

In a stunning display, a man who is a recognized government watchdog and had given Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz documents showing federal officials ignored the relationship among Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and Rosatom, the Russian company that purchased Uranium One, had his home raided by the FBI, despite the fact that his status was protected by law[.]

Why would the FBI, once headed by a director who had investigated Russia and Uranium One, raid the home of the whistleblower, named Dennis Nathan Cain?  The FBI might have not known that the documents, or which documents, had already been legally turned over by Cain and possibly was trying to seize the documents to protect Mueller himself.  Yet Cain told agents at his door of his legally protected status, and the documents they sought had been turned over to the proper authorities.  They either didn't believe him or did not care.

Mirroring similar thuggish raids involving Trump associates Paul Manafort and Larry Cohen, the raid on Cain's home suggests that Mueller is afraid that Horowitz is actually doing his job and a good one, leading to the exposure of Mueller's own culpability in Hillary's nefarious, dare we say it, collusion with Russia.

Few Americans have heard of William Campbell, another whistleblower and the FBI informant with extensive and deep knowledge of how the Russians of Vladimir Putin used bribery, extortion, and other tools in their bag of tricks to penetrate America's nuclear industry, and how they used Hillary Clinton to gain access to our uranium.  As The Hill's John Solomon reports:

An FBI informant connected to the Uranium One controversy told three congressional committees in a written statement that Moscow routed millions of dollars to America with the expectation it would be used to benefit Bill Clin

“Early in my reporting that unraveled the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion probe, tying it to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and possible Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses,” Solomon wrote, “I started to see patterns just as in the old mob meetings: FBI or intelligence-connected figures kept showing up in Trump Town USA during the 2016 campaign with a common calling card.”

6 'Deep Staters' tried to infiltrate Trump camp in 2016

'The question now is, who sent them and why?'

A reporter who has been breaking stories on the Russia investigation since it began two years ago points out that there were at least six different FBI or intelligence-related operatives with similar characteristics and modes of operation who made entrees to key figures in the Trump business organization or his presidential campaign between March and October 2016.

John Solomon, in a column for the Hill, noted that in the mafia’s heyday, the FBI was trained to pay attention if a mobster was in town. If five or more mobsters showed up in the same neck of the woods, “a meeting of consiglieri or La Cosa Nostra’s council was likely happening.”

Another mob characteristic to note, he said, was that the mobsters usually had the same “calling card,” the same excuse for being in town.

Solomon said the “question now is, who sent them and why?”

“If this were a mob case, agents would not stop until they knew why each character appeared and who sent them,” Solomon wrote.

He said President Trump can help by declassifying relevant documents, as he promised months ago.

“The American people deserve to know how much of the Trump-Russia probe was the result of agent provocateurs and political muckrakers and FISA cheaters, and how much was legitimate law enforcement work,” Solomon said.

The FISA reference was to the Obama Justice Department’s use of the “Steele dossier” of unsubstantiated political dirt on Trump funded by the Clinton campaign to obtain a warrant from a FISA intelligence court to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016.

Solomon said his interviews with more than 50 witnesses in the Trump case and reviews of hundreds of pages of court filings confirm, among other things, that nearly all of the contacts “involved the same overture — a discussion about possible political dirt or stolen emails harmful to Hillary Clinton, or unsolicited business in London or Moscow.”

Several of the contacts occurred before the FBI formally launched a legally authorized probe alleged Trump collusion on July 31, 2016.

The recipients of the overtures are well known, including Paul Manafort, Donald Trump Jr., Michael Cohen, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Michael Flynn, Sam Clovis and Roger Stone.

Some of the instigators also are known: Professor Stefan Halper, Russian businessman Hank Greenberg, former MI6 agent Christopher Steele and former FBI informer Felix Sater.

Solomon pointed out that Trump campaign figures were contacted by at least two Russian figures along with intelligence or diplomatic figures connected to two of America’s closest allies, Britain and Australia.

“The chances that so many would converge into then-candidate Donald Trump’s circle, in such a short period around an election, are about as rare as winning the Mega Millions lottery,” Solomon concluded. “In other words, most were not coincidences. A few, maybe, but not all.”

He noted that the the House Intelligence and Senate Judiciary committees demanded to be secretly briefed on payments to “undercovers.”

But the lawmakers have been “pretty tight-lipped since, except to express concerns that the public would be alarmed by what was divulged.”

Solomon has deduced from these members of Congress that some of the contacts that occurred in 2016 were related to the “dossier.”

The FBI, he said, “clearly dispatched informers, agents and other operatives to gather evidence to bulk up the uncorroborated Steele dossier,” so agents could get a FISA warrant in October 2016 to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., went further last week, “suggesting the effort to gather evidence beyond the Steele dossier might be the most problematic of all because it was designed to be a political ‘insurance policy’ against Trump winning the presidency.”

Breaking: Mueller Withheld Exculpatory Evidence from Court to Exonerate Trump – Mueller LIED to the Court!… Will He Be Sent to Jail Too?

Is justice still alive in America? Will Robert Mueller see jail time?

A new report by journalist Paul Sperry says conflicted Robert Mueller withheld evidence from the court that would exonerate President Trump from the latest accusations of Russian collusion during the 2016 election. Contrary to media speculation that Robert Mueller is closing in on President Trump, the special prosecutor’s plea deal with Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen offers further evidence that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russians during the 2016 election, according to congressional investigators and former prosecutors.

Cohen pleaded guilty last week to making false statements in 2017 to the Senate intelligence committee about the Trump Organization’s failed efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Discussions about the so-called Moscow Project continued five months longer in 2016 than Cohen had initially stated under oath.

The nine-page charging document filed with the plea deal suggests that the special counsel is using the Moscow tower talks to connect Trump to Russia. But congressional investigators with House and Senate committees leading inquiries on the Russia question told RealClearInvestigations that it looks like Mueller withheld from the court details that would exonerate the president. They made this assessment in light of the charging document, known as a statement of “criminal information” (filed in lieu of an indictment when a defendant agrees to plead guilty); a fuller accounting of Cohen’s emails and text messages that Capitol Hill sources have seen; and the still-secret transcripts of closed-door testimony provided by a business associate of Cohen.

On page 7 of the statement of criminal information filed against Cohen, which is separate from but related to the plea agreement, Mueller mentions that Cohen tried to email Russian President Vladimir Putin’s office on Jan. 14, 2016, and again on Jan. 16, 2016. But Mueller, who personally signed the document, omitted the fact that Cohen did not have any direct points of contact at the Kremlin, and had resorted to sending the emails to a general press mailbox. Sources who have seen these additional emails point out that this omitted information undercuts the idea of a “back channel” and thus the special counsel's collusion case.

Page 2 of the same criminal information document holds additional exculpatory evidence for Trump, sources say. It quotes an August 2017 letter from Cohen to the Senate intelligence committee in which he states that Trump “was never in contact with anyone about this [Moscow Project] proposal other than me.” This section of Cohen’s written testimony, unlike other parts, is not disputed as false by Mueller, which sources say means prosecutors have tested its veracity through corroborating sources and found it to be accurate.

Also notable, Mueller did not challenge Cohen’s statement that he “ultimately determined that the proposal was not feasible and never agreed to make a trip to Russia.”

“Though Cohen may have lied to Congress about the dates,” one Hill investigator said, “it's clear from personal messages he sent in 2015 and 2016 that the Trump Organization did not have formal lines of communication set up with Putin’s office or the Kremlin during the campaign. There was no secret ‘back channel.’”

“So as far as collusion goes,” the source added, "the project is actually more exculpatory than incriminating for Trump and his campaign.”

Mueller’s office declined comment to RealClearInvestigations.

Grassley Questions Director Wray About FBI Raid on Clinton Foundation, Uranium One Whistleblower

Outgoing Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) questioned FBI Director Christopher Wray about the raid of the home of a Clinton Foundation, Uranium One whistleblower in a letter this weekend.

Citing the Daily Caller’s report of the FBI raid, Grassley asked Director Wray to answer the following questions by December 12, 2018:

1. Was the FBI aware at the time of the raid that Mr. Cain had made what appeared to be
lawful disclosures to the Inspector General? If so, was the FBI aware that these
disclosures were passed to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, per the
ICWPA process?

2. Does the FBI consider Mr. Cain’s disclosures to be protected? Please explain.

3. On what basis did the FBI decide to carry out the aforementioned raid on November 19,
2018? Please explain and provide a copy of the warrant and all supporting affidavits.

4. Did the materials seized by the FBI during the raid contain any classified information? If
so, was that information classified at the time Mr. Cain brought them to his residence?

"Mr. Priestap’s retirement is unrelated to the controversies over the handling of the 2016 investigations, according to a person familiar with the matter."

Of course not. It's related to the 2018 investigations, of which he is in grave jeopardy.

JUST IN: Peter Strzok’s Former Boss Bill Priestap OUT at FBI

Bill Priestap, the corrupt chief of counterintelligence who helped oversee Hillary Clinton’s botched email investigation and who was involved in Obamagate is retiring this year.

Another crooked FBI official is retiring with full benefits…

WASHINGTON—A top FBI official who helped oversee two politically sensitive investigations related to the 2016 presidential campaign is retiring from government service.

Bill Priestap, who currently serves as assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s counterintelligence division, will leave his post by the end of the year. Mr. Priestap, a 20-year veteran of the bureau, worked on organized crime and drug cases in Chicago before rising through the national security ranks of the agency after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The federal government allows some employees, including FBI agents, to retire with full benefits if they are 50 or older and have at least two decades of service.

Bill Priestap was the FBI official who changed the wording in the James Comey July 2016 speech to remove the word “President” and replace it with “another senior government official” to hide this fact from the American public.

Priestap was also Peter Strzok’s boss at the FBI.

Evidence suggests Bill Priestap, was Obamagate's 'deep throat' – the insider providing information to government investigators about the Obama crime syndicate.

Priestap was grilled by Congress in June of this year.

Mueller must be removed, disbarred, prosecuted

Exclusive: Larry Klayman decries special counsel's 'legal jihad unfolding with impunity'

As a former prosecutor of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), founder of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch, and its current general counsel and chairman, I filed a complaint Monday before the Office of Professional Responsibility and Inspector General of the DOJ, demanding an investigation and the eventual removal and prosecution of Special Counsel Robert Mueller for his and his conflicted staff – which are Democrat/Clinton political campaign donors and supporters in large part – having illegally leaked grand jury information to harm President Trump, his family and former and present colleagues.

The Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) and Inspector General (IG) are charged with investigating and remedying unethical and illegal behavior by the special counsel, his office and other DOJ lawyers and staff. Special Counsel Mueller derives his authority and powers from the DOJ, as he was appointed by Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Rod Rosenstein – not coincidentally a closet Democrat and President Barack Obama’s former U.S. attorney for the District of Maryland. Attorney General Jeff Sessions must have been smoking his “hated” marijuana, or been high or drunk on something else, when he chose Rosenstein as his No. 2. A worse and more stupid choice could not have been made!

As Sessions and Rosenstein have failed and apparently refuse to properly police the illegal grand jury leaks and conflicts of interest of Mueller – putting their own personal, political and professional interests before all else – the job therefore fell upon Freedom Watch to file this complaint before OPR and the IG, to represent the interests of the American people for honest and non-biased government and to address the sham investigation Mueller has been vindictively pursuing for his friend, a fellow former FBI director himself, James Comey.

The regrettable back story here is that these two DOJ public servants – Sessions also being a former U.S. senator from Alabama – are themselves under investigation by Mueller for their alleged involvement in alleged collusion with Russia in the case of the AG and the firing of former FBI Director James Comey in the case of the DAG. For this and other reasons, which sadly are the norm in our compromised Justice Department, which continues to be loyal to the former administration, not the Trump administration, these two “chameleons” have figuratively desecrated the once proud blue and yellow emblem and shield of DOJ – which I used to have hanging proudly in my office – to save their law-enforcement skin, which has simply turned yellow!

Meet Andrii Telizhenko: The Man Who Will Blow the Lid Off of Mueller’s Russian Witch Hunt

Andrii Telizhenko worked as a political officer in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington DC in 2015-2016.

Andrii Telizhenko is speaking out about the DNC-Russia collusion scandal.

In early 2016 Telizhenko was approached by DNC operative Alexandra Chalupa. She is still working at the DNC. She wanted dirt on Trump and his campaign manager Paul Manafort.

The Ukrainian embassy in Washington DC worked VERY CLOSELY with DNC operative and Hillary supporter Alexandra Chalupa.

Chalupa told Andrii she wanted Russian “dirt” on the Trump campaign.

Mueller has no interest in hearing Andrii’s story. It doesn’t fit his narrative.
Mueller and his angry Democrat lawyers are not interested in the truth.
They only want to destroy Trump.

Andrii is speaking out about his experiences with DNC operatives.
He believes he is safe as long as he speaks out.

The Gateway Pundit spoke with former Ukrainian Embassy official Andrii Telizhenko on the DNC Russia-Gate Scandal.

"If they knew Steele was Isikoff’s source, the FBI is guilty of circular intelligence reporting which of course is against protocol. They presented the two sources as independent which means they defrauded the FISC."

It’s Official: Now There Is Proof Corrupt and Fired Former FBI Director James Comey Lied to the FISA Court to Spy on Candidate Trump

Yesterday it was reported that a long email chain was uncovered that provides evidence that former FBI Head James Comey and others in his inner circle signed and sent a FISA warrant application to the FISA Court and that they knew the FISA warrant was fraudulent.

Since the emails are labeled classified by the Deep State DOJ and FBI, Comey wanted to have his testimony in front of Congress this week in the open so he wouldn’t have to discuss his criminal actions like this one.

Yesterday, John Solomon from the Hill reported that a long email chain was uncovered that the Republican House members added to the list of documents they would like President Trump to un-classify and release to the American public.

As reported by TGP’s Cristina Laila –

Former FBI Director James Comey is reportedly in this long email chain which is dated October of 2016 – just before the FBI obtained its first FISA warrant on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

“If these documents are released, the American public will have clear and convincing evidence to see the FISA warrant that escalated the Russia probe just before Election Day was flawed and the judges (were) misled,” one knowledgeable source told John Solomon.

  1. The FBI acknowledged in the emails there were intelligence community concerns about the Steele dossier before they secured a FISA warrant.
  2. The FBI knew Steele was talking to the media before they obtained a FISA warrant.

This is significant because the FBI has maintained for the last two years that they fired Christopher Steele after they obtained the FISA warrant after finding out he violated FBI protocol by speaking to the media.

The FBI used Michael Isikoff’s Yahoo News article as a source to corroborate the Steele dossier when presenting evidence to the FISC. If they knew Steele was Isikoff’s source, the FBI is guilty of circular intelligence reporting which of course is against protocol. They presented the two sources as independent which means they defrauded the FISC.

When Comey signed off on the FISA warrant request to the FISA Court to obtain a legal basis to spy on Carter Page and President Trump he lied
