Some enterprising Silicon Valley type conservative, start your own Facebook type media, and do it in a way that promotes conservative values.

Trump’s Facebook Engagement Declined By 45 Percent Following Algorithm Change

Engagement on Donald Trump’s Facebook posts has dropped by approximately 45 percent since the platform introduced a new algorithm change, following a year of pressure from left-wing employees and the mainstream media for “allowing” the President to win the 2016 general election.

In January, Facebook introduced a major change to its newsfeed algorithm. In a post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed that the change aimed to give greater emphasis to posts from “friends, family and groups” and less to “businesses, brands and media.” The change was followed by a promise to promote what Facebook calls “broadly trusted” news sources on the platform.

In the month following the algorithm change, engagement on Donald Trump’s Facebook posts dropped sharply. Total engagement dropped by approximately 45 percent, according to data from leading social media analytics firm NewsWhip. In an email to Breitbart News, a representative of Newswhip confirmed that Breitbart’s reading of the data was accurate.

Average engagement on Trump’s Facebook posts following the algorithm change also dropped significantly, by approximately 38 percent.

The decline in engagement on Trump’s Facebook cannot be attributed to a drop in posting frequency on the part of Trump. In the 13 days prior to Facebook’s algorithm change (28 Dec - 10 Jan), Trump made 67 posts, with no significant drop in engagement. After the change, Trump posted at roughly the same rate – between 59 and 67 posts in each 13-day period, but was still met with the dramatic decline in engagement seen above.

When compared to high-profile Democratic political figures, Trump’s engagement appears to have been hit particularly badly. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders do not appear to have suffered a comparable decline in Facebook engagement.

Even if they did face a similar decline, it would not be comparable in terms of impact. As the graph above shows, they are far less successful on Facebook than President Trump, which means they have far less to lose. Currently, any change that reduces the reach or engagement of public figures on Facebook will disproportionately affect Trump when compared to public figures with much lower engagement.

In a comment to Breitbart News, Facebook appeared to acknowledge that their algorithm change might have caused Trump’s engagement numbers to fall. A Facebook representative highlighted the following section of their post announcing the algorithm change:

Pages may see their reach, video watch time and referral traffic decrease. The impact will vary from Page to Page, driven by factors including the type of content they produce and how people interact with it.

Rep. Devin Nunes Warns Drudge: Twitter is Censoring Your Account!

Tech giants such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are censoring conservatives by using many different methods from shadowbanning to overtly blocking content from users.

One way Twitter censors users is by marking content “sensitive” which blocks people from viewing the tweet. Users on desktops can click “view” in order to see the tweet, however; on iPhone app for Twitter, the content is unable to be viewed.

Twitter is censoring the Drudge Report by marking tweets with a warning that states, “This tweet is not available because it includes potentially sensitive content.”

On Sunday, Chairman Devin Nunes brought attention to the censorship.

Breitbart’s John Nolte tweeted screenshots of Drudge’s Twitter account showing the blocked tweets and said, “Look at how Twitter censors @DRUDGE. 90% of tweets are blocked.”

Nothing new about the left suppressing the right. Over the past two years, the suppression has simply become more sophisticated, more daring, and to greater degrees.

Former Facebook Workers: We Routinely Suppressed Conservative News

Facebook workers routinely suppressed news stories of interest to conservative readers from the social network’s influential “trending” news section, according to a former journalist who worked on the project. This individual says that workers prevented stories about the right-wing CPAC gathering, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and other conservative topics from appearing in the highly-influential section, even though they were organically trending among the site’s users.

Several former Facebook “news curators,” as they were known internally, also told Gizmodo that they were instructed to artificially “inject” selected stories into the trending news module, even if they weren’t popular enough to warrant inclusion—or in some cases weren’t trending at all. The former curators, all of whom worked as contractors, also said they were directed not to include news about Facebook itself in the trending module.

In other words, Facebook’s news section operates like a traditional newsroom, reflecting the biases of its workers and the institutional imperatives of the corporation. Imposing human editorial values onto the lists of topics an algorithm spits out is by no means a bad thing—but it is in stark contrast to the company's claims that the trending module simply lists “topics that have recently become popular on Facebook.”

These new allegations emerged after Gizmodo last week revealed details about the inner workings of Facebook’s trending news team—a small group of young journalists, primarily educated at Ivy League or private East Coast universities, who curate the “trending” module on the upper-right-hand corner of the site. As we reported last week, curators have access to a ranked list of trending topics surfaced by Facebook’s algorithm, which prioritizes the stories that should be shown to Facebook users in the trending section. The curators write headlines and summaries of each topic, and include links to news sites. The section, which launched in 2014, constitutes some of the most powerful real estate on the internet and helps dictate what news Facebook’s users—167 million in the US alone—are reading at any given moment.

“I believe it had a chilling effect on conservative news.”

“Depending on who was on shift, things would be blacklisted or trending,” said the former curator. This individual asked to remain anonymous, citing fear of retribution from the company. The former curator is politically conservative, one of a very small handful of curators with such views on the trending team. “I’d come on shift and I’d discover that CPAC or Mitt Romney or Glenn Beck or popular conservative topics wouldn’t be trending because either the curator didn’t recognize the news topic or it was like they had a bias against Ted Cruz.”

The former curator was so troubled by the omissions that they kept a running log of them at the time; this individual provided the notes to Gizmodo. Among the deep-sixed or suppressed topics on the list: former IRS official Lois Lerner, who was accused by Republicans of inappropriately scrutinizing conservative groups; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker; popular conservative news aggregator the Drudge Report; Chris Kyle, the former Navy SEAL who was murdered in 2013; and former Fox News contributor Steven Crowder. “I believe it had a chilling effect on conservative news,” the former curator said.

"So if Facebook gave the Obama campaign free access to this type of data when it normally does not do so for other entities – or usually charges for such access – then Facebook would appear to have violated the federal ban on in-kind contributions by a corporation. And the Obama campaign may have violated the law by accepting such a corporate contribution."

‘Unsafe to the community’: Facebook takes on pro-Trump Diamond and Silk

The hilarious duo of Diamond and Silk is a danger to society.

That’s according to Facebook.

The pro-Trump pair posted on the embattled social media platform on Friday night, saying after months of correspondence, they were deemed to be “unsafe to the community.”      Image result for diamond and silk

“Diamond And Silk have been corresponding since September 7, 2017, with Facebook (owned by Mark Zuckerberg), about their bias censorship and discrimination against D&S brand page,” they wrote.

“Finally after several emails, chats, phone calls, appeals, beating around the bush, lies, and giving us the run around, Facebook gave us another bogus reason why Millions of people who have liked and/or followed our page no longer receives notification and why our page, post and video reach was reduced by a very large percentage,” echoing the complaints of many conservative and pro-Trump pages.

Here is the reply from Facebook. Thu, Apr 5, 2018 at 3:40 PM: “The Policy team has came to the conclusion that your content and your brand has been determined unsafe to the community.”

The pair say it took “6 Months, 29 days, 5 hrs, 40 minutes and 43 seconds” to get a response, which they add the network said is “final and it is not appeal-able in any way.”

They posed several questions to Facebook and Zuckerberg, including, “What is unsafe about two Blk-women supporting the President Donald J. Trump??”

“This is deliberate bias, censorship and discrimination. These tactics are unacceptable and we want answers!” they wrote.

"Google and Facebook have a duopoly on internet data and referral traffic. Both companies are crushing conservative content simply because it goes against their globalist agenda."

What these tech giants have been doing was fine with the Democrats UNTIL, the Republicans figured out how to use the technology as well. Now it's not fine anymore, and the Democrats, who have already culled everyone's information, is trying to stop the practice from availability to others...who are not on their team.

Senator Warns ‘Facebook Must Shape Up or it Will be Broken Up’

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to take a grilling on Capitol Hill this week after it was revealed the tech giant was encroaching on people’s privacy.

Fox News reported:

With Mark Zuckerberg’s grilling on Capitol Hill looming this week, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden warned Facebook that it must make major changes — or else.

“There are going to be people who are going to say Facebook ought to be broken up,” Wyden, a vocal digital privacy advocate, said at the TechFestNW conference in Oregon on Friday.

“There have been a number of proposals and ideas for doing it and I think unless [Zuckerberg] finds a way to honor the promise he made several years ago, he’s gonna have a law on his hands,” he said, reports TechCrunch.

Wyden said he would support such a law to break up the tech giant.

“I’m going to bring the hammer down on companies responsible for data breaches,” Wyden said, according to Willamette Week.

On March 27, Christopher Wylie, a Cambridge Analytica whistleblower told a committee of British MP’s Facebook has the ability to spy on you in your own home or place of work.

Facebook admits it scans links and pictures people send back and forth to each other on Facebook Messenger in order to ‘prevent abuse’.

Facebook also reads chats on Messenger when they’re flagged by users. Moderators make sure everything in chat ‘falls in line with Facebook’s rules’.

Fed up users are planning a 24 hour boycott of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp called ‘Faceblock.’

Google and Facebook have a duopoly on internet data and referral traffic. Both companies are crushing conservative content simply because it goes against their globalist agenda.

The tech giants must be broken up as they hold too much power and actively silence people based on their political beliefs.

What is not mentioned in this article, BUT SHOULD ALWAYS BE MENTIONED, is that Facebook has 2 billion uses, and it GAVE Obama access to the information on EVERYBODY. BTW...what Cambridge did was not illegal.

Zuckerberg Confirms Facebook Is Working with Robert Mueller’s Investigation

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday confirmed that Facebook is working with the special counsel investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and potential collusion with the Trump campaign.

The revelation came during Zuckerberg’s appearance in front of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and Senate Judiciary Committee joint hearing on Facebook.

Asked by Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT) whether the special counsel team had subpoenaed Facebook, he responded, “I actually am not aware of — of a subpoena. I believe that there may be, but I know we’re working with them.”

During the more than five-hour hearing, Democrats sought to cast blame on Facebook for allowing Cambridge Analytica to possibly influence the campaign. Cambridge Analytica is a political data firm the Trump campaign hired to target audiences with campaign ads. A Russian-American psychology professor at the university built an app that would harvest data for Cambridge Analytica. Facebook was allegedly told it was for a research project, not to be monetized and given to a firm.

The app may have harvested as many as 87 million Facebook users’ data, although the numbers are unclear. Klobuchar also tried to draw a link between Cambridge Analytica and Trump’s win, asking what states those potentially targeted lived in. Zuckerberg said he did not have the information with him, but he could follow up with her office.

“OK, because as we know, that election was close, and it was only thousands of votes in certain states,” she said.

Zuckerberg also said Facebook is also investigating whether there is a link between those targeted by Cambridge Analytica and those who were potentially exposed to Russian political ads. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) asked whether those whose data was collected by Cambridge Analytica were the same ones who were potentially exposed during the election to Facebook pages associated with the Internet Research Agency, a Russian company running influence operations.

“Senator, we’re investigating that now. We believe that it is entirely possible that there will be a connection there,” he said.

Sarah Palin Calls Out Zuckerberg for Suppressing Conservative Media: ‘What the Zuck, Facebook?’

Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin recently made a Facebook post alleging that in a similar case to pro-Trump YouTube stars Diamond and Silk, her Facebook page reach had been limited by the social media platform.

Shortly after pro-Trump YouTube stars Diamond and Silk revealed that they had been “deemed unsafe to the community” by Facebook and their page reach had been limited, former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin posted statistics that would seem to imply that her page reach had also been limited. “What the Zuck, Facebook?” said Palin in a post on her official page. “Amen to my sisters Diamond and Silk for speaking truth to power and calling out Facebook for suppressing their posts and positions.”

Palin stated “For quite a while folks have cautioned me to not rock the Facebook boat – but screw it. Facebook has controlled my reach to friends and foes for far too long.” Palin then claims that just like Diamond and Silk and a host of other conservatives, her Facebook page reach had been limited by the social media platform; “My small team and I been having the same issues as Diamond and Silk and other independent conservatives. Our message of support for common sense Make America Great Again policies is being suppressed and censored as self-proclaimed ‘movers and shakers’ operate to influence in fine Orwellian form.”

“THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE,” stated Palin. “Look at the decrease in the reach of our Facebook page since Donald J. Trump took office in January, 2017.” Palin then referenced the book Lean In by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg which calls for women to be more assertive in the workplace; “I guess ‘Lean In’ only applies to women who also fall in line with the liberal agenda?” said Palin. The former governor of Alaska ended her post simply stating “So… Facebook… What the Zuck?”
