To investigate GETTR, this is their homepage: https://gettr.com/

WND gets on GETTR as new social media site explodes

Sign up for the un-Twitter and never miss a big story

In just 11 days, the new social media site GETTR already has 1.5 million users – and WND is one of the news sites now posting its best stories and commentaries.

The platform's CEO is former Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller, and it has gained quick traction among supporters of the 45th president.

According to the Washington Examiner, a recent poll found that two-thirds of Republicans who have heard of GETTR are either on the site already or planning to sign up.

"Despite low level of awareness, new platform GETTR has high a conversion rate and has an opportunity for substantial growth," said the analysis of the poll, commissioned by GETTR and conducted by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates.

Launched on the Fourth of July, GETTR is one of the leading new social media sites pledging to counter Twitter and Facebook by promising to be a place where free thought and freedom of speech are honored.

Pollster Tony Fabrizo told the Examiner, "Overall, 15% have heard something about GETTR and of that 15%, 2% say they've already joined and another 8% say they plan on joining with 5% saying they won't join. So 10% have or will join out of 15%, which has them converting 2 out of 3 GOPers who are aware of it. Among Trump voters in the 2024 primary ballot, 20% are aware of GETTR with 3% having joined, 15% who will join and 5% who won't. That is 15% out of 20% or a conversion rate of 3 in 4."

Miller has promoted the site to conservative audiences including at CPAC and Senate GOP leaders. He is set to present it at this weekend's Turning Point USA convention of young leaders in Tampa, Florida, reports the Examiner.

"It also is the same week that White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said anyone who is banned from Facebook for White House deemed “misinformation” should be banned from all social media platforms."

That is called state controlled media, the hallmark of Communism.

USA Today “Fact-Checks” GP and Politico Report on Biden Monitoring Private Communications — Then Confirms DNC Has Been Flagging “Misinformation” for Facebook Since 2020

On Monday Politico broke the news that the Biden regime was monitoring private communications and calls on SMS Carriers to “dispel misinformation about vaccines.

This news came on the same week that the Biden administration admitted to working with Facebook to flag, censor, and silence critics of the administration’s vaccine program. It also is the same week that White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said anyone who is banned from Facebook for White House deemed “misinformation” should be banned from all social media platforms.

We now have shameless totalitarians in the White House who have no regard for the US Constitution and the right to free speech in America.

"Levin says, at least twice in the segment, that he really hopes Trump’s legal team is paying attention to this because this is a constitutional issue and will make their case stronger than ever."

Mark Levin says Trump’s social media lawsuit is stronger than EVER thanks to Jen Psaki and Biden’s Surgeon General

Mark Levin opened his radio show tonight explaining why Jen Psaki’s comments today mean that Trump’s lawsuit is stronger than ever.

Here’s a small quote from Levin to wet your whistle: So they’re tracking you if they don’t agree with you. They’re collecting information if they don’t agree with you. They have adapted and they are out front now that they are using police state tactics against freedom of speech, and speech generally.

And that should cause everybody in the media concern, but they don’t give a damn. They only believe they should speak. He plays a clip of Psaki saying they are flagging posts for Facebook that spreads misinformation and that they are working with doctors to get ‘trusted content’ out there.

He then adds: “No that’s called propaganda. We do not need the Biden administration to take on the responsibility of providing ‘trusted’ medical information. You have doctors; you have doctors’ groups; you have scientists; you have professors. We’re a very vibrant country with a lot of really, really smart people.

Government interference here; government control of the debate; government control of speech; government censorship – that is what she just attested to! She just attested to it! Facebook is not an independent actor.

Facebook is doing what they are asked to do. Censor. Levin says, at least twice in the segment, that he really hopes Trump’s legal team is paying attention to this because this is a constitutional issue and will make their case stronger than ever.

Levin also plays more evidence from Biden’s surgeon general, so be sure and listen to the full clip for much, much more.

Facebook Suspends User for Doubting Practicality of Masks on Children, Now Social Media Platform Is Facing a Monster Suit

A Facebook user suspended for pushing back against putting masks on children is fighting back.

San Diego Data analyst Justin Hart was sent to three days of Facebook’s version of time-out last week after posting a graphic that threw shade on the merits of putting masks on children as a way to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The graphic was titled, “Masking children is impractical and not backed by research or real world data,” according to Just the News.

The Liberty Justice Center, which sent Facebook a letter protesting the social media giant’s actions, noted that the graphic was “science-based and contains footnotes to scientific evidence supporting its claims.”

The letter, which said Facebook would be sued if it did not end its ban on Hart, noted that Facebook in the past has censored viewpoints that it disliked and which later were found to be valid.

The letter noted that at one time, Facebook muzzled anyone who advanced the theory that the coronavirus began ravaging the globe because of a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in Wuhan, China — a point that even the Biden administration has now admitted is possible.

Facebook should “admit its error” and let posts such as Hart’s about masks for children remain available as an “equally valid scientific hypothesis,” the letter said.

"The ban was issued just weeks before Arizona’s final audit report is set to come out and as multiple states are getting ready to start audits of their own...Unsurprisingly, Twitter provided no reason for the suspensions."

Breaking: Twitter Suspends All Election Audit ‘War Room’ Accounts; Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers Predicts She Will Be Next

Earlier today Twitter permanently suspended all nine of the official ‘Audit War Room’ accounts from its platform.

The accounts were a main source for breaking updates and were banned as part of big tech’s continued attempt to shield the public from the stunning revelations being found regarding the fraudulent 2020 election.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter provided no reason for the suspensions.

The ban was issued just weeks before Arizona’s final audit report is set to come out and as multiple states are getting ready to start audits of their own.

The suspended accounts were crucial for exposing voter discrepancies and providing the public with important updates regarding the forensic audits.

Wendy Rogers tweeted the news, warning that she may be the next victim of the Twitter purge to remove any accounts that spread any information on audit findings.

The removal of the accounts happened on the same day that Nancy Pelosi’s sham January 6th witch-hunt Committee kicks off their hearings. Coincidence?

They are clearly threatened by the findings of the audits and are trying to divert attention back to January 6th. There have been multiple discrepancies reported by the auditors, prompting more people to speak up and demand audits in their counties. Americans aren’t buying their lies.

The Maricopa audit has exposed multiple issues and serious violations by officials in the 2020 election including; 74,000 ballots with no clear chain of custody, 11,000 voters being added to voter rolls AFTER the election, and duplicate ballots. Multiple other states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, have been inspired to begin similar audits with some already finding discrepancies in their own counties.

Twitter’s permanent removal of these accounts at this time demonstrates that the audit results coming out are right on target.

And for the record — Twitter removed the official Gateway Pundit account after we posted exclusive video of late-night ballot delivery to the TCF Center in Detroit, Michigan.

Gettr, the latest pro-Trump social network, is already a mess

Taylor Hatmaker@tayhatmaker / 5:26 PM EDT•July 6, 2021

Well, that was fast. Just days after a Twitter clone from former Trump spokesperson Jason Miller launched, the new social network is already beset by problems.

For one, hackers quickly leveraged Gettr’s API to scrape the email addresses of more than 85,000 of its users. Usernames, names and birthdays were also part of the scraped data set, which was surfaced by Alon Gal, co-founder of cybersecurity firm Hudson Rock.

“When threat actors are able to extract sensitive information due to neglectful API implementations, the consequence is equivalent to a data breach and should be handled accordingly by the firm [and] examined by regulators,” Gal told TechCrunch.

Last week, TechCrunch’s own Zack Whittaker predicted that Gettr would soon see its data scraped through its API.

The scraped data is just one of Gettr’s headaches. The app actually went live in the App Store and Google Play last month but left beta on July 4 following a launch post in Politico. While the app is meant to appeal to the famously anti-China Trump sphere, Gettr apparently received early funding from Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, an ally of former Trump advisor Steve Bannon. Earlier this year, The Washington Post reported that Guo is at the center of a massive online disinformation network that spreads anti-vaccine claims and QAnon conspiracies.

On July 2, the app’s team apologized for signup delays citing a spike in downloads, but a bit of launch downtime is probably the least of its problems. Over the weekend, a number of official Gettr accounts, including Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Steve Bannon and Miller’s own, were compromised, raising more questions about the app’s shoddy security practices.

That incident aside, fake accounts overwhelm any attempt to find verified users on Gettr. That goes for the app’s own recommendations too: a fake brand account for Steam was among the app’s own recommendations during TechCrunch’s testing.

Another red flag: The app’s design is conspicuously identical to Twitter and appears to have used the company’s API to copy some users’ follower counts and profiles. Gettr encourages new users to use their Twitter handle in the sign up process, saying that it will allow tweets to be copied over in some cases (we signed up, but this didn’t work for us). TechCrunch reached out to Twitter about Gettr’s striking similarities and the use of its API but the company declined to comment.

On mobile, Gettr is basically an exact clone of Twitter — albeit one that’s very rough around the edges. Some of Gettr’s copy is stilted and strange, including the boast that it’s a “non-bias” social network that “tried the best to provide best software quality to the users, allow anyone to express their opinion freely.”

The company is positioning itself as an alternative for anyone who believes that mainstream social networks are hostile to far right ideas. Gettr’s website beckons new users with familiar Trumpian messaging: “Don’t be Cancelled. Flex Your 1st Amendment. Celebrate Freedom.”

“Hydroxycholoroquine works!” Miller shared (Gettr’d?) over the weekend, quoting the former president. “And nobody is going to take down this post or suspend this account! #GETTR.” So far on Gettr, content moderation is either lax or nonexistent. But as we’ve seen with Parler and other havens for sometimes violent conspiracies, that approach can only last so long.

In spite of being widely associated with Trump through Miller and former Trump campaign staffer Tim Murtaugh, the former president doesn’t yet have a presence on the app. Some figures from Trump’s orbit have established profiles on Gettr, including Steve Bannon (84.7K followers) and Mike Pompeo (1.3M followers), but a search for Trump only brings up unofficial accounts. Bloomberg reported that Trump has no plans to join the app. (Given Gettr’s preponderance of Sonic the Hedgehog porn, we can’t exactly blame him.)

It’s hard to say whether the app’s technical issues or Trump’s absence will dampen interest in Gettr. According to estimates from Sensor Tower, Gettr has racked up roughly 1.3 million installs globally since June, with Brazil trailing the U.S. as the app’s second-biggest market.

The online pro-Trump ecosystem remains scattered in mid-2021. With Trump banned and the roiling conspiracy network around QAnon no longer welcome on Facebook and Twitter, Gettr positioned itself as a refuge for mainstream social media’s many outcasts. But given Gettr’s mounting early woes, the sketchy Twitter clone’s moment in the sun might already be coming to an end.
