Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene permanently banned from Twitter

Twitter permanently bans conservative congresswoman for violating social media platform's COVID censorship policy.

Social media giant Twitter has permanently banned Republican lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene from its platform, claiming the congresswoman violated the site’s COVID “misinformation policy”.

"We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy," Twitter said in a statement Sunday.

"We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy."

No specific posts were cited by the company in its statement on the suspension.

While Greene’s personal account has been permanently suspended, her official congressional account remains active.

The congresswoman’s office announced that Greene was banned for tweeting statistics from the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System).

"Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth," Greene said. "That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies."

Collusion: Facebook Suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene For ‘Misinformation’ One Day After Twitter Ban

Twitter permanently banned Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on Sunday for posting Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In response, Greene wrote of Twitter, “I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

“When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene’s statement said. “That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

Facebook suspended Congresswoman Greene 24 hours later.

The tech giants are all working together to silence American citizens.

Greene was suspended from Facebook for 24 hours for posting ‘misinformation.’

“Facebook has joined Twitter in censoring me. This is beyond censorship of speech,” Greene posted on Gettr.

“Who appointed Twitter and Facebook to be the authorities of information and misinformation? When Big Tech decides what political speech of elected Members is accepted and what’s not then they are working against our government and against the interest of our people,” she wrote.

“A spokesperson for Facebook’s parent company Meta said in a statement to NBC News that one of Greene’s posts “violated our policies and we have removed it.” The rep did not say what the post said, but added that “removing her account for this violation is beyond the scope of our policies.”” NBC News reported.

"It’s been nothing short of phenomenal," Miller told FOX Business in an interview after the app surpassed 1 million downloads in its first days. "It's the fastest-ever social media platform to reach 1 million users – which we were able to do just three days after launch...Twitter did not reach 1 million users until nearly 24 months after its launch."

Joe Rogan leads move to GETTR after Twitter bans Dr. Robert Malone, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Podcast titan Joe Rogan opened a GETTR account Sunday and encouraged 7.8 million Twitter followers to join him on the alternative social media app.

"GETTR" trended on Twitter throughout Sunday afternoon as users reacted to Rogan's tweet about GETTR, with many apparently taking his advice and opening an account. Rogan's move to GETTR came on the same day that Twitter permanently banned the personal account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for spreading what the social media company deemed COVID-19 "misinformation."

Last week, Twitter also banned Dr. Robert Malone days before he appeared on Rogan's podcast to discuss the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines. Malone, a contributor to mRNA vaccine technology, also opened a GETTR account.

GETTR was launched July 4 by former Trump adviser Jason Miller, who told Fox News in an interview at the time that he wanted the social media app to be "independent from social media monopolies, independent from cancel culture; embracing free speech."

"It’s been nothing short of phenomenal," Miller told FOX Business in an interview after the app surpassed 1 million downloads in its first days. "It's the fastest-ever social media platform to reach 1 million users – which we were able to do just three days after launch."

"The platform is growing, and it's really exciting when you look at some of these different platforms, just how long it took them to reach 1 million users," Miller said, noting Facebook reached its 1 million user goal within its first year, and Twitter did not reach 1 million users until nearly 24 months after its launch.

"It took us three days," Miller said. "I think what this shows is just the appetite that is there for a platform that doesn’t censor for political beliefs."

“Everybody should drop off of Twitter and Facebook. They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone. They are a disgrace to our Nation,” Trump concluded. “Keep fighting, Marjorie!”

Trump Responds to Marjorie Taylor Greene Ban: 'Twitter is a Disgrace to Democracy'

Former President Donald Trump responded to Twitter banning Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene by calling the platform a “disgrace to democracy.”

Trump refuses to answer question about QAnon but again backs Marjorie Taylor Greene - CNNPolitics

Trump himself was banned from the social media platform nearly one year ago.

“Twitter is a disgrace to democracy. They shouldn’t be allowed to do business in this Country,” Trump asserted.

The statement continued, “Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people. They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook.”

Trump then called for people to abandon the platforms that continue to censor his friends and supporters.

“Everybody should drop off of Twitter and Facebook. They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone. They are a disgrace to our Nation,” Trump concluded. “Keep fighting, Marjorie!”

Greene’s personal account was permanently banned on Sunday for posting Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The platform claimed it was Greene’s fifth “strike” for spreading “COVID-19 misinformation.

Greene has responded to her Twitter ban on the social media platforms GETTR and Telegram. She wrote, “I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

"The up-and-coming platforms say that social media giants have pushed users into their arms by silencing conservative views."

Alternate social media platforms see huge growth in year following Capitol riot

Alternate social media platforms grew by leaps and bounds in the year following the Capitol riot, driven by conservative users' gripes with Big Tech’s censorship and privacy policies.

Challengers to Facebook and Twitter, such as Rumble, GETTR, and MeWe, have each added millions of users to their platforms in the past year by promoting a focus on free speech and data privacy. The up-and-coming platforms say that social media giants have pushed users into their arms by silencing conservative views.

“The most important change in the social media world since the Jan. 6 attack is the role of censorship by Big Tech companies and consumers not trusting them,” said Mark Weinstein, founder and chairman of MeWe, an alternative social media platform that has been popular with independents and libertarians. “Anything Facebook doesn’t like, it takes down, and they’ve decided their wallets and surveillance capitalism are more important than our democracy and privacy — which we think are essential.”

Weinstein pointed to what he considers Facebook’s unfair double standards when it comes to content moderation, as well as its alleged harm to children, as central to users' frustrations with the platform.

Social media insiders say that alternative platforms have given those censored by Facebook and Twitter new ways of expressing themselves.

“Those voices that are no longer given a microphone by Big Tech have gone down the street to somewhere else where they do have a microphone,” said Adam Sharp, Twitter's former head of news, government, and elections. “The whole reason they were censored in the first place is because that speech has some popularity and an audience. Those censored have a sense of disenfranchisement which fed into the anger of Jan. 6.”

MeWe has approximately 20 million users after adding over 10 million in the past year, while Parler has 15.5 million users, and GETTR, the platform started by former Trump spokesman Jason Miller last summer, has over 4 million users.

GETTR, which bills itself as free speech oriented and anti-cancel culture, announced earlier this week that it has had more than 500,000 new users join in the past few days since popular podcaster Joe Rogan joined on Sunday.

This marks the biggest spike in users the website has had since it launched on July 4 of last year.

Some alternative platforms such as Parler and Rumble have used the past year to make their websites immune from censorship or restrictions they’ve faced at the hands of dominant Big Tech companies. A handful of Big Tech companies, including Amazon, Apple, and Google, moved to take down Parler in January 2021, claiming it helped enable the Capitol attack.

"Public health is the excuse used to silence doctors, scientists, and parents challenging the administration’s COVID orthodoxy. “Graphic content” is used as the excuse to silence artists highlighting the Taliban’s brutal rule in the wake of the administration’s retreat from Afghanistan."

A Year Ago, Big Tech Declared Open War On America. Here's What's Next

President Donald Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter one year ago. In the ensuing turmoil, it’s easy to forget why. Ask near-any self-declared politico around Washington, D.C., and you’ll hear an unsure and uncertain allusion to the Capitol riot. It’s important to understand their reasons, however, to understand what’s in store for the rest of our country. Fortunately, we don’t need to wonder; Twitter was open and upfront on the issue — at least as much as they ever are: The sitting president of the United States, they declared, had sent two terrible and unpardonable tweets.

First, he’d written that the political movement he’d started would continue into the future, and wouldn’t be disrespected: The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!

Second, he said he wouldn’t be attending President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration in two weeks’ time. “To all of those who have asked,” he wrote, “I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.” These violated their “Glorification of Violence” policy, Twitter claimed, and so the president was “immediately permanently suspended from the service.”

It’s a private company, Twitter’s defenders insist, so it doesn’t need remotely passable reasons to ban the president from messaging his 90 million followers. “If you don’t like it, build your own,” sort of thing. ~~~~~~~~~~

The Capitol riot was used as an excuse for deplatforming an American president and smashing a private company, but it wasn’t the reason: The illiberal left has long used any pretense at all to justify its centralization of control and crushing of dissent; and Big Tech, once a free-wheeling vehicle for decentralized innovation, is now no more than an arm of the illiberal left. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Public health is the excuse used to silence doctors, scientists, and parents challenging the administration’s COVID orthodoxy. “Graphic content” is used as the excuse to silence artists highlighting the Taliban’s brutal rule in the wake of the administration’s retreat from Afghanistan.

Absolutely. From now on it should be written: "One giant leap for womankind."

Microsoft introduces new woke feature for Word that tries to suggest PC alternatives

Microsoft has included a new function in the latest version of its Word software that acts as a checker for inclusivity and offers PC alternatives to phrases which could upset others.

Traditionally, Microsoft Word has offered tools to its 250million users such as checking software for spelling, punctuation and grammar. But now, the tech giant has added an additional feature which reads through a user's work and examines whether the language used may offend an individual. The Sun reports it does this by highlighting phrases focusing on gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity of 'socioeconomic status'.

The function, which produces a purple line beneath words or phrases it deems to be potentially problematic, can be turned on and off in Word's settings. Microsoft Word also used red lines to point out spelling mistakes and green lines for grammatical errors.

After highlighting the inclusivity issue, Word's new functionality will suggest more acceptable alternatives - which includes changing Postman Pat to 'mail carrier' or 'postal worker'.

The software also suggested altering astronaut Neil Armstrong's famous quote from 'one giant leap for mankind', to 'humankind' or 'humanity' instead.

The Age of Intolerance: Cancel Culture’s War on Free Speech

Cancel culture—political correctness amped up on steroids...Everything is now fair game for censorship if it can be construed as hateful, hurtful, bigoted or offensive provided that it runs counter to the established viewpoint. In this way, the most controversial issues of our day—race, religion, sex, sexuality, politics, science, health, government corruption, police brutality, etc.—have become battlegrounds for those who claim to believe in freedom of speech but only when it favors the views and positions they support.

Free speech for me but not for thee” is how my good friend and free speech purist Nat Hentoff used to sum up this double standard. This tendency to censor, silence, delete, label as “hateful,” and demonize viewpoints that run counter to the cultural elite is being embraced with a near-fanatical zealotry by a cult-like establishment that values conformity and group-think over individuality.

For instance, are you skeptical about the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines? Do you have concerns about the outcome of the 2020 presidential election? Do you subscribe to religious beliefs that shape your views on sexuality, marriage and gender? Do you, deliberately or inadvertently, engage in misgendering (identifying a person’s gender incorrectly) or deadnaming (using the wrong pronouns or birth name for a transgender person)?

Say yes to any of those questions and then dare to voice those views in anything louder than a whisper and you might find yourself suspended on Twitter, shut out of Facebook, and banned across various social media platforms. ~~~~~~~~~~ In the past few years, for example, prominent social media voices have been censored, silenced and made to disappear from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram for voicing ideas that were deemed politically incorrect, hateful, dangerous or conspiratorial.

Most recently, Twitter suspended conservative podcaster Matt Walsh for violating its hate speech policy by sharing his views about transgendered individuals. “The greatest female Jeopardy champion of all time is a man. The top female college swimmer is a man. The first female four star admiral in the Public Health Service is a man. Men have dominated female high school track and the female MMA circuit. The patriarchy wins in the end,” Walsh tweeted on Dec. 30, 2021.

It is as we have been saying, there are very few of them, although many in important places of power and influence. Therefore, if they intend to continue with there evil designs, they have to make it happen NOW!!! That is why we have to put up our defenses and bring them (figuratively) down. It is vital to do so.

Gallup: Liberals make up astonishingly small chunk of Americans

Liberals may be filling up the offices at the White House right now. And the seats in Congress. And in newly filled judicial posts. And in education and the military. And don't forget their dominance in social media.

But liberalism actually is an ideology adopted by only a quarter of the nation, even though it has grown somewhat over the last 30 years. But that is so slow that even continuing that out into the future, it would take another 30 or 40 years for liberalism to be adopted by the number of Americans that now support being a moderate, or being a conservative. ~~~~~~~~~~

Gallup said it measures Americans' political ideology by asking survey respondents whether their political views are "very conservative," "conservative," "moderate," "liberal" or "very liberal."

"Because relatively few people categorize themselves as "very" conservative or liberal, Gallup reports the results in three summary groups -- conservatives, moderates and liberals," Gallup explained.

The liberal ideology has grown among Democrats in recent decades, while those Democrats saying they are conservative or moderate has edged down.

The report said Republicans' right-leaning stance held firm last year, with 74% identifying as conservative, 22% as moderate and just 4% as liberal.

Among subgroups, men, older adults, white adults, those without a college degree and residents of the South and Midwest are more like to identify as conservative. Liberal views are more likely to be found among women, middle-aged adults, college graduates, Hispanic adults and those who live on the coasts.

Joe Biden's agenda that included fights over U.S. voting laws, government spending, abortion, COVID-19 policies and more was unable to shift any of the indicators, the polling said.
