Sarah Palin Calls Out Zuckerberg for Suppressing Conservative Media: ‘What the Zuck, Facebook?’

Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin recently made a Facebook post alleging that in a similar case to pro-Trump YouTube stars Diamond and Silk, her Facebook page reach had been limited by the social media platform.

Shortly after pro-Trump YouTube stars Diamond and Silk revealed that they had been “deemed unsafe to the community” by Facebook and their page reach had been limited, former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin posted statistics that would seem to imply that her page reach had also been limited. “What the Zuck, Facebook?” said Palin in a post on her official page. “Amen to my sisters Diamond and Silk for speaking truth to power and calling out Facebook for suppressing their posts and positions.”

Palin stated “For quite a while folks have cautioned me to not rock the Facebook boat – but screw it. Facebook has controlled my reach to friends and foes for far too long.” Palin then claims that just like Diamond and Silk and a host of other conservatives, her Facebook page reach had been limited by the social media platform; “My small team and I been having the same issues as Diamond and Silk and other independent conservatives. Our message of support for common sense Make America Great Again policies is being suppressed and censored as self-proclaimed ‘movers and shakers’ operate to influence in fine Orwellian form.”

“THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE,” stated Palin. “Look at the decrease in the reach of our Facebook page since Donald J. Trump took office in January, 2017.” Palin then referenced the book Lean In by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg which calls for women to be more assertive in the workplace; “I guess ‘Lean In’ only applies to women who also fall in line with the liberal agenda?” said Palin. The former governor of Alaska ended her post simply stating “So… Facebook… What the Zuck?”

Zuckerberg Admits Facebook Made “Enforcement Error” in Determining Diamond and Silk “Unsafe” – ‘Working to Reverse It’

During his testimony before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Wednesday, Mark Zuckerberg claimed Facebook made an “error” in determining Diamond and Silk were “unsafe for the community.”

Zuckerberg Admits Facebook Made “Enforcement Error” in Determining Diamond and Silk “Unsafe” – ‘Working to Reverse It’

Texas GOP Rep Joe Barton grilled Zuckerberg on their censorship of black Trump supporters, Diamond and Silk.

Zuckerberg responded with, “In that specific case, our team made an enforcement error. We have gotten in touch with them to reverse it.”

Diamond and Silk unloaded on Facebook last Friday night after the social media giant finally responded to their many inquiries as to why Facebook is censoring their content and brand.

The dynamic duo boast over 1.2 million Facebook followers on their main Diamond and Silk page.

Diamond and Silk say their reach on Facebook has dramatically reduced prompting them to seek answers from Facebook.

After giving them the runaround for months, Facebook responded with, “The Policy team has came to the conclusion that your content and your brand has been determined unsafe to the community.”

News of Facebook’s egregious response to Diamond and Silk spread like wildfire. Senator Ted Cruz also blasted Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on the company’s censorship of conservatives, specifically Diamond and Silk.

On Wednesday, GOP Rep Marsha Blackburn also ripped Zuckerberg for conflating Diamond and Silk’s content with terrorism.

Zuckerberg lifting the censorship of Diamond and Silk is a start. Now it’s time to lift the boot off of The Gateway Pundit, Breitbart and all the other conservatives being crush by algorithms for their political views.

Mmm-hmm.

IOW, we got busted by people who have authority, and now we're backpedaling as fast as our li'l feets can go.

Diamond and Silk both said yesterday that no one from FB has contacted them in any way, shape, or form regarding reinstating them.  But they're willing to talk to Markie...  and I hope they give him a good ***-whuppin'.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn Blasts Zuckerberg for Using Algorithms to Censor Conservatives

During a hearing before the House on Wednesday, Rep. Marsha Blackburn ripped into Mark Zuckerberg for using algorithms to censor conservative content.

“I’d like to ask you, do you subjectively manipulate with your algorithms to prioritize or censor speech?” Rep Blackburn asked Zuckerberg.

Naturally, Zuckerberg obfuscated and gave a very generic answer about using algorithms to weed out terrorism.

“Congresswoman, we don’t think about what we are doing as censoring speech. I think that there are types of content like terrorism that I think we all agree we do not want to have on our service. So we build systems that can identify those and can remove that content and we’re very proud of that work,” Zuckerberg said.

Rep. Blackburn wasn’t having it. She immediately shot back with, “Let me tell you something right now. Diamond and Silk is not terrorism.”

It’s nice to know that Mark Zuckerberg thinks people who support President Trump are in the same boat as ISIS terrorists.

Tech Giants Google and Facebook are currently purging conservative content from Facebook and YouTube — They are hiding conservative stories on Google — They are shadow-banning conservative news on all social media.

In February Facebook launched a new algorithm to ensure that conservative news would not spread on the social media platform. Facebook has cut off traffic to all the top conservative and Trump-supporting websites.

These social media giants have audiences of the billions.”

Media Research Center Reveals How Social Media Giants Were Caught In Massive Conservative Censorship

NewsBusters has recently released a detailed report about how the major tech giants of Silicon Valley have been caught time and time again in ploys to censor conservative thought and opinion online. Unfortunately, they’ve done this with incredible success over the years. Just in the past few months, Gateway Pundit has been subjected to Facebook shadowbans, unexplained YouTube suspensions, and has had the Twitter accounts of various writers hidden from public view.

In the detailed Media Research Center report, Dan Gainor and Ashley Rae Goldenberg outline how each and every one of these tech giants has used their ability to control the flow of information and silence conservative viewpoints from the public.

Yesterday evening, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham discussed the state of social media alongside MRC’s Brent Bozell. “Among the findings, claims from former employees that Facebook hides conservative content from the trending section were backed up by a detailed study,” Ingraham said. “Google, YouTube, and Twitter partner with leftist groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, that hate conservatives. And check this out. Of the 25 members on the panel that guides Twitter’s policies, 12 are liberals and there is only one conservative. I can’t believe there is one.”

“It’s 50 pages documenting what conservatives have been suggesting has been happening. This is — it sounds hyperbolic, but Laura, this is true,” he said. “This is emerging, the greatest censorship of free speech worldwide in the history of man. Now let me explain this. The left is on a jihad against conservative thought.” Bozell went on to explain that the war on conservative thought and opinion is  “happening in academia, in entertainment, in business, religion, everywhere…Now they’re going to the social media giants. These social media giants have audiences of the billions.”

Facebook a NO-SHOW at House Judiciary Committee Hearing With Diamond and Silk

Diamond and Silk are set to testify in front of Congress Thursday over Facebook’s censorship of conservatives and what do you know–Facebook will be a no-show.

Facebook will not be attending a hearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee Thursday where Diamond and Silk were gearing up to confront the social media giant for labeling them “unsafe for the community,” and using algorithms to block their content.

Google and Twitter were also invited to the hearing, however; it is unclear if they decided to take the cowardly way out like Zuckerberg did.

Axios reported a spokesman for Facebook said, “We look forward to a continuing dialogue with members of the Committee about Facebook’s strong commitment to being a platform for all voices and ideas,”

Rep. Marsha Blackburn is also expected to speak on the panel. Twitter previously blocked her pro-life campaign.

Google and Facebook are indulging in nothing less than a form of suppression and Fascism.  Good that SOME within Congress are starting to call them on it.

The researchers conclude that by using this method of manipulation, search engines can shift a “50/50 split split among people who are undecided on an issue to a 90/10 split without people’s awareness and without leaving a paper trail for authorities to follow.”

Very dangerous. You search for something and only CNN, NBC, and New York Times type sources show up, and truthful sources are nowhere to be found, unless you know who they are and ask for them specifically. Google needs serious COMPETITION. BTW: The people at Google, and Facebook, and Twitter, who manipulate in this manner, do not expect to have a positive experience when judgment comes, for how you manipulate others will be used in prosecution against you.

Research: Google Search Manipulation Can Swing Nearly 80 Percent of Undecided Voters

By inserting negative search suggestions under the name of a candidate, search engines like Google can shift the opinions of undecided voters by up to 43.4 percent, according to new research by a team at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology and reported exclusively by Breitbart News.

The lead author of the study, Dr. Robert Epstein, has previously conducted research into what he calls the Search Engine Manipulation Effect (SEME). This research showed that the manipulation of results pages in search engines can shift the voting preferences of undecideds by anywhere between 20 and 80 percent, depending on the demographic.

His latest research looks at how search engines can affect voters by suggesting negative or positive search terms when a political candidate’s name is entered into the search bar. Dr. Epstein’s research found that when negative search terms are suggested for a candidate, it can have a dramatic effect on voter opinion.

From the study:

The voting preferences of participants who saw no search suggestions shifted toward the favored candidate by 37.1%. The voting preferences of participants in the search suggestion groups who saw only positive search suggestions shifted similarly (35.6%). However, the voting preferences of participants who saw three positive search suggestions and one negative search suggestion barely shifted (1.8%); this occurred because the negative search suggestion attracted more than 40% of the clicks (negativity bias). In other words, a single negative search suggestion can impact opinions dramatically. Participants who were shown four negative suggestions (and no positives) shifted away from the candidate shown in the search bar (-43.4%).

The researchers conclude that by using this method of manipulation, search engines can shift a “50/50 split split among people who are undecided on an issue to a 90/10 split without people’s awareness and without leaving a paper trail for authorities to follow.”

The conclusions are based on 16 months of experiments conducted with a total of 1,800 people from all 50 U.S. states. Participants in the study came from diverse ideological backgrounds, including liberal, conservative, and moderate. In order to control prior biases, participants were asked to judge political candidates that they were unfamiliar with.

Further on in the paper, the researchers reference allegations of search suggestion manipulation made against Google during the 2016 election, when the tech giant appeared to be suppressing negative search suggestions for Hillary Clinton while allowing negative suggestions for Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders to remain.

The research also notes discrepancies with Google’s current search suggestions, particularly with regards to its commercial interests. For example, entering “G” into the search bar in Google will instantly provide users with suggestions to click on search terms about other Google products – Gmail, Google Maps, Google Drive, and others.
