No, I'd love for that to happen. Maybe one day one will. I usually have aphids who like to sit on me for some reason.

If one's around you and you hold out a finger, it just may land.

Never had that happen. Don't know what attracts aphids except a plant to suck juices from. Maybe you smell like a rosebush!

ROFL! Well, there are worse things to smell like I suppose. If I start attracting dung beetles, then I'll worry...

Good point. Scarabs are fine beetles, though.

Ever had one of those little 'glove flies' land near you? Those are the ones with 'gloves' on their front feet.

No. They sound cute. Maybe we don't have them over here?

You may have some; but, they are fairly rare. They are cute for sure-- kind of smart asses, too.

Had one in the car once. It landed on the seat next to me and started wiping its gloved hands and face. Too close, though, and I worried it might inadvertently get mashed. I motioned towards it to get it to fly off out of harms way. Silly thing was just annoyed and hopped a few inches away and resumed its grooming. So, we drove along and I guess the glove fly eventually left through an open window.

I think they're the ones you always see in cartoons. I should look them up on Google images.

They are sort of cartoonish. Let me know what you find at Google.

Have a fun 4th of July!

They must be called something else too because I couldn't find much.

Thank you! Our holiday was on July 1st (Canada's Dominion Day.) We thought everywhere would be really crowded so we went to the range. Did you have a good Independence Day?

"Glove fly" fits them; but, there's no telling what their official name is.

It was okay; not much in the way of fireworks unless you went to some big 'event'. Was more fun when just anyone would set them off. On the positive side, the streets were wide open because nearly everyone was at some event.

July 1st was just a few days ago. Happy Dominion Day!!!
