We normally don't get much of a winter either, but last winter we had lots of snow!

Good going.

Snow is so much fun!

Getting it right around Thaksgiving and Christmas is the best. Everything looks like a Christmas card.

Yes! The cities look clean, and forested areas look that much more picturesque.

Snow seems to capture the idea of Winter. At the end of the year, after all the work and fretting and the harvest is in, it is time to rest. Mostly snuggle up in a warm blanket and dream. Like a caterpillar all nice and snug waiting happily for Spring.

Sometimes I think I'd be happier being a forest creature, apart from the worry of being eaten all the time part at least. :P

Being a forest creature does sound like fun. (Ever read the Hollow Tree and Deep Woods Book?) Not sure which forest creature I'd want to be.

No, it sounds like I'd enjoy it though. I did read Wind in the Willows, but in that book the forest creatures had cars! I liked Watership Down and there was a book called The Long Winter I liked too. It was the sequal to another one, but I forget the name of the same book, it was also really enjoyable. [Edited to add: One of the Little House books had the same name, I was thinking of a different one. I liked the Little House books though too.]

Have not read those books. Will check them. Bet you will like this place .

Found out there are other Hollow Tree books. Need to get those.
