In the book Helter Skelter, LA prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, (born in Hibbing MN, I once dated his much younger cousin, lol), describes that Charles Manson planned the horrible murders, and the blood painted messages on the walls were intended to start a race war.
Manson even bragged about how he got his cult followers to do it for him.
We should ALL be appalled that our officers who vow to "Protect and Serve" are killing our citizens.
We should also understand that white supremacist crazy cults are capable of anything, to stoke the flames.
We need our Governors, Mayors, and Police Chiefs to have a sit down together with community leaders to devise appropriate training for interaction with the public, and also have any officer that behaves inappropriately be removed from the force at once. Officer Chauvin, it turns out, had numerous bad incidents, but the blue code of loyalty *and the police union, protected him.

That was a very emotional and eloquent speech, thank you for posting that.
BTW, my daughter and her roommates each have an emergency bag packed, in case they feel the need to suddenly evacuate. That's what is has come down to, that's how people feel.
Some of her friends living in south Minneapolis have already left their homes to stay elsewhere, some are staying to defend their homes, if necessary. Who knows which is the right decision?
It is so sad that all this distracts from the true tragedy of the murder of Mr. Floyd, and has morphed into a tragedy of its own.

Mayors are responsible for a big slice of the problem - tolerating policemen who live outside their jurisdiction and naturally behave like an army of occupation.

It's a powder keg that goes far beyond George Floyd.
You have the fact that black deaths from Covid are disproportionately high.
General systemic racism.
Unemployment.
A shitty President.
A HUGE political divide.
This looks like the start of a full blown civil war.

As protests across the US rage, President Donald Trump announces Antifa - an umbrella term for loosely defined far-left militant groups who oppose white supremacists - will be defined as "a terrorist organisation".
