Hi Tiny Fairy! I have been following along and I am so happy that you are feeling better. I too quit smoking cold turkey about 22 years ago, but I weaned myself off. I started with one pack and decided that was it, I cut out the non important during the day smokes and then the morning smoke. The hardest one was the after dinner smoke, for me, but now it is done and I feel just awesome. I have noticed a distinct dislike of smelling cigarettes now. It doesn't make me want one anymore, which is a good thing. Best of luck with your progress!!

Why Thank You Noni!!!!!
Im quite proud of myself. I was on the patch in the hospital so that made it a tad bit easier. But it was really quite easy. I was shocked. I still want one but it passes. Yes the smell triggers me wanting one still so I have to steer clear when my niece and nephew are outside smoking as I like to sit out there during this mild spring we are having it Texas during the mornings.
Kudos to you for quitting so many years ago. It highly worth bragging rights . Right?

I think so TinyFaerie!! Stopping smoking is a big deal. Whether with a patch, gum or cold turkey, it is a big deal!!

No offense is meant to those friends who continue to smoke, it is up to each person to make up their own minds. I speak from having my father and younger brother both die from lung cancer and my other brother is still smoking!! It breaks my heart.

I have COPD so it was essential that I finally quit. When it got to the point that I was coughing my way entirely through each cigarette I knew it was time. My dad died of many things related to smoking.
