Hi Again: I am writing from Alberta, Canada to say we have been in lockdown for awhile now, but had a call from our family doctor's office to see if my husband and I are doing ok (he has copd) and keeping up with and getting meds as needed. They are calling all the seniors with health problems in his care and so thankful to have him as a doctor. He looks after my whole family and gets tests, etc. as needed. We have plenty of food and necessities so will make it for quite awhile just going to store for milk, fruit and vegs as needed. Numbers keep climbing so please stay in and stay safe. Look forward to seeing you in the Castle.

Isn't it beautiful? An old friend of my family posted it on facebook, and I was so taken with it. He's a retired teacher and was a pastor at the Lutheran church my family attended when I was a kid. He and his wife are such kind, caring, wonderful people, so it made it that much more meaningful coming from him.
I've been wondering how much our pollution levels have dropped while we're sheltering at home, and if all this could maybe cause us to rethink (just a little!) about the trade-offs we make between abusing our planet and living a "slower" life.
Best to you, WeeSam. Hope you and yours are staying well.

I think I nipped it in the bud.
I would ordinarily ignore it until more obvious cold symptoms arose, but I just chowed down on medicated lozenges and took cold medication.
Woke up today feeling much better. Sore throat almost completely gone.
We've resigned ourselves to deferring the road trip until Mum's birthday in November.
They're starting to limit how much wine you can buy...

Hi Everyone,
I live in Upstate New York. We have been self-quarantined for three weeks now and are all fine. My guys are working from home. Two weeks ago it was if you could work from home then do so - to minimize exposure. Now it's mandatory for everyone and only essential services are operational. They told everyone at work that layoffs were coming.
Our grocery stores are encouraging curbside pickup or using instacart.com online. This is controlling the crazy hoarding that has been going on for awhile now. They are limiting the number of items you can get.
The big thing here seems to be getting respirators. The seriously ill are dying because they need the respirators.
Long shot but they are testing a malaria remedy which is showing promise and they will know the results within a week.
Keeping busy with Ancestry and MC and my family who are all home now.
Keep safe everyone.

Sorry to say it will take longer than a week, if you want to have a serious result.
