The Government requires management in any given time including these unique times .
Nobody has yet mentioned the new Leader of the Labour Party who hopefully will change the direction the party took which caused such a disaster.
It will take a long time for the Labour to come back but they have made a start in the right direction

Bugger-all wrong with that actor until the day comes when contrary to his script, he goes out of circulation to prove how serious his bosses' agenda is.

Its difficult to know what to think - our politicians are letting us down over our protection and generally doing things quite horrendously badly - and sometimes hijacking our experts into backing them.

Nonsense. The scientists have not been hi-jacked. The Gov is doing what the scientific committees have advised them to do. And the Gov, surprisingly, have done far better than anyone could have expected. 'Things' are not going horrendously badly. They are going as medics and scientists have predicted.

You obviously read and believe the Guardian.
1. Cobra meetings are not chaired just by the PM. It's often the Minister responsible.
2. Until it was known that coronavirus was a threat to us, there was no need for Johnson to attend meetings.
The rest of your post is nonsense too.
3. As soon as the risk was upgraded from 'low' to'moderate', Johnson chaired COBRA meetings.
Nothing wrong with that at all.
