This question is regarding the Queen of Spades - Hearts has not been broken. Player one plays a spade other than the Queen to open a round. . Player two has in his hand the Queen of Spades and also other Spades. Can Player two play the Queen, thus breaking 'Hearts', even thought he has other playable spades he could play or is he only allowed to play a spade other than the Queen?
It seems like he should be allowed to play the Queen only if that is the only Spade he has.

While the Queen of spades is worth points, it is not a heart and is therefore not subject to the same restrictions as the heart suit.  If a the opening player played the Ace of spades the holder off the queen can play it.
