rip's foot problems are nothing NEW.  But it appears they are starting up again, this time, another hoof that wasn't bothering him is bothering him now.

"this time of year".  Yes.  They have been going since spring.

I'm looking elsewhere, but I already was anyway.

We recently had a major stakes race at Woodbine where the winner was a zillion to one because she couldn't even warm up one of the favorites over in Europe.  It was a classic example of a horse who probably travelled well, loved the turf and was coming into peak form compared to one who was over the top after a tough campaign in Group 1 races.

Everyone who thinks what happened last year with chalky Euros is going to automatically happen again is either a poor handicapper or has a very short memory.  I think it might be bombs away.
