• How to store finished jewelry?

I'm finding myself in quite the situation here... I'm trying to organize about 9 years' worth of beads, finished jewelry, and equipment in a very limited amount of space.

I've done really well with my beads and equipment so far and am mostly satisfied with how I'm storing them.  HOWEVER, I can't seem to find any kind of reasonable way to store all of this jewelry!  I sell it, but only occasionally.  I'm also NOT looking to buy a lot of stuff to store it all.  Does anyone have any tips or ideas?  They're currently in bags, separated by type (necklaces, bracelets, etc.), and shoved in a box in one of my cabinets, but I'm quickly overflowing my space.

Take care,
Kathy

This is a trouble thing indeed. Once we love our favorite beads, and wil buy them undoubtly.
So many beads are stored and took up lots of space. We should try our best to decrease space to store them, therefore, make beads in a small box at first, and then put together with wrap a rather big box  or other. Store them in a spare space.

Regards,
Carol

Shoe boxes? Necklaces in one, bracelets in another, etc. They stack neatly, are easily labeled,  and I think we all have them :o) As a bonus they transport easily when you do sell, and can be used for height on a show table.

My system works for me, but may be a little to "focused" for most.

All my finished jewelry is "mounted" on card stock with my contact information and a description of the piece, and placed in a clear zip lock bag.  This serves a dual purpose - the bag keeps out the air preventing tranish, and  is ready to display when I do a show.

I like to separate my jewelry by gemstone  and store in plastic shoe boxes (bought dozens when they were on sale at Michaels at 3 for $1.00 several years ago.

The plastic boxes fit nicely in a small chest of drawers I found at a yard sale, with earrings, bracelets and necklaces each in their own drawers.

This may be a bit much for some, but works well for me.  It is easy to inventory )Excel spread sheet) for replenishment and tax purposes and if someone wants to place an order, I know within a short time if I have it in stock or have to make.

I have mine organized in those roller cabinets, the ones with little wheels on them with like 3 drawers.  I am not the greatest organizer, but it works for me.
