Can anyone suggest gemstones that could be used in fire & rescue related jewelry? I have a request for jewelry for a young lady about to graduate from a fire and rescue training program and I don't have a clue as to what I can use.

Jim,

How about Fire Agate? I also have seen some crab fire agare that is beautiful. Carnelian is another good fire color. For the rescue part , you could repurpose something that you already have?  Maybe use an axe charm?

I wonder if you could incorporate fire agate *and* dalmation jasper? Just a thought...

Have fun -- please show us your finished design! :-)

The colors in the insignia are:

Ambulance -- Omaha orange and white
Star of Life -- blue and white

So any combination of orange, blue and white could have some semblance of being in the ballpark.

In fact, something with the star of life shape (pendant) could be rather well received.
