Hi everybody,

Greetings from the Adriatic Sea, where I'm taking a little cruise with my wife before heading back home.

While floating along (and using an awfully expensive internet connection), I posted a poll for About.com's next long term bike-- which will be a Triumph!

Check out the poll and vote for your favorite... and let me know why you picked what you picked.

Ride safe,
Basem

PS: Carrie, did you vote for the Bonneville, or do you already know all you want to know about the bike?

I voted.... let me know when you pick up the Street Triple R....... especially if you need a 'guest evaluation'.  That's one I'd 'take for the team' without any reservations.

RJ,

I've just been hitting refresh and watching the Street Triple R votes shoot up--- how did you manage to vote so many times? Ha ha... but seriously, my Triumph contact told me he'd link from other sites (and maybe a newsletter?), so maybe that explains the leap.

I had a great time on the Speed Triple (and considered including it in the voting), but thought the Street Triple R was a more relevant bike since it's newer.

Cycle World had a write up on it.... sounds almost exactly like what I want in a bike.  Even the price is purportedly reasonable, given the component quality.....  the one negative mentioned was the seat.

I'd like to know more about how well the electrics hold up... anything I buy int he future will have accessories attached that draw power, and I want outstanding lighting.  A HID option would be kick arse.

I pretty well know what I need to know about the Bonneville. I voted for the Street Tripple R. I was drooling over one at the dealership.
Then again, I'm torn Bonnie, Triple, Bonnie, Triple. This could go neck and neck.
