I'm having the time of my life.  stuck inside on a rainy day, I, again, found HDTV on my Cable.  I don't know what it means, Discovery HD Theater, it's new to me, but ...it's got Motorcycle Racing!

This afternoon, I leaned back in my easy chair, with a pot of hot coffee and a thick Tomato sandwich to watch Two wheelers roar around the Isle of Man, Monkeys climbing around on the back of sidecar bikes and, Hot dang!, Speedway.

My heart got to pumping so hard I was afraid I'd have to stop and look for high blood preassure pills.  Then this movie, GP Racer, came on and I tried to calm down with a bit of International news.  That was so depressing that I've run to the computer, with my coffee, to tell y'all what a great afternoon I've had.

The USA rider, Hancock, broke his bike. Flat rear tires don't work very good on that circle track.

Pederson was disqualified in the final and I got to watch him wind up his left foot and kick a chair.

All of the heats were exciting and the final was the best of all. Tight racing at speeds of better than 100mph on a 500cc bike, with no brakes, and a front -end so light that it looks almost like they are on a unicycle.  You can't help but jump up out of your chair and yell, whether you know them or not. :-D

They speak English most of the time, but nothing close enough to American that I'm sure I understand.  Still, I get the gist of the game.  You see, they all start at the same time from the same line and the first one to complete 4 laps around the football field wins.

Tom,

Coffee and tomato sandwhich , I've never had that pleasure.

Is there any thing else other than Tomato on the sandwhich?

I wouldnt mind watching the Motocycles, but I dont have cable .  My parents have it , but there way too many channels. I like just a handful of channels to chose from.

Ah yes. I love tomatoes.   Put mayonaisse liberally on a hamburger bun.  Cut a 1/2" slice of tomato from a big tomato and place it on the bun.  Apply salt and pepper, close the bun and eat it.

If you want to be a little bit gourmet, put a thin slice of sweet onion on it.

If you want to be a whole lot gourmet, put bacon and lettuce on it.  :-D

I'm really enjoying cable.  Even with the number of channels available, I have my small selection.

I'm a Fox News watcher, but will suffer through CNN to see the other side.  Then there is The Discovery Channel, A&E, National Geographic, Science Fiction, Science channel, History Channel and now Discovery HD.  I get hung up on  Archaeology, Military weapons, Racing, sometimes college football, stuff like "how it's made" and "Dirty jobs and old cowboy movies.

My right index finger is permanently bent from holding a coffee cup in the Navy, so I can't get too far from a coffee pot or it cramps. :-)

'Course my favorite time of all is outside with my sawmill.

If you put ketchup and mustard on bread, it almost tastes like Mcdonalds. Havent tried that since I was around 9 years old or earlier . But its stored in memory.

Yuk!

I watch Discovery HD Theater on a lot.  I was really impress with HD when we pick up the HD cable which make the whole HD thing work.

I watch part of a couple of races last Sunday after the Nascar race.  The Isle of Man TT is amazing.
