I might consider it if there was something I wanted that was really expensive and was being offered at a really good price, but I'd normally buy new, just on sale. You?

Gear, other than helmets, I veiw much like shoes..... once they've been on my feet, there's not much likely hood someone else will want to wear them. :)

A jacket? maybe that would be different....  a racing weight leather jacket is not going to wear out for many, many years.  Depending on how it was maintained, it might not even be noticable that someone else had used it.

Definitely a 'see it in person' deal, for me.... couldn't make a purchase like that sight unseen, without a really good return policy involved. 

I feel the same. Jacket, would buy maybe. Gloves maybe. Shoes, no, pants, no, helmet, no. I guaranantee whatever I brought would visit the dry cleaner before wearing too. I don't even like clothes at thrift shops.

I've got a lot of stuff I'd like to sell on consignment... I'd buy a few things used. Jacket as long as it didn't look like someone had hit the pavement in it. Overpants, perhaps. Really, anything that doesn't typically have direct skin contact I wouldn't have a problem with.

I had some gear I would have loved to sell too, but I gave it to Good Will. I gave away a white jacket. It was sharp but it showed dirt everytime I rode. I sold a jacket I got. I thought it was nifty at first with red flame on black, but the big Power Trip name was drawing snickers. Seriously. I still haven't found a jacket, but I think I want new.
