The purpose of this forum is to provide a virtual meetingplace for people interested in urban legends and folklore to congregate, meet others, and engage in discussion and debate on these and related topics. All are welcome, so long as a few simple guidelines are observed:

1. Please stay on-topic. When starting new threads, please make them relevant to urban legends and folklore. A little topic drift is inevitable as discussions develop, and that's fine. Threads that start out off-topic are likely to be closed or deleted.

2. Please do not spam this forum by posting advertising or off-topic links.

3. Civil discussion and debate are good things. Namecalling, insults, and personal attacks are not. I ask that all participants behave in a respectful and reasonably civil fashion toward their fellow members at all times. Those who engage in personal attacks, especially repeat offenders, are liable to be gagged or banned. Discussions that break down into shouting matches or insult contests will be closed.

4. Personality conflicts are inevitable in any community, but I must insist that folks who have personal issues with each other not act them out here. Nor is anyone's personal annoyance, resentment, or dislike of another member appropriate fodder for public discussion. Threads disrupted for this purpose will be closed and the disruptive member is liable to be gagged or banned.
