Although Lynda what referring to the "profile" image and the display of said image.. I'd like to speak about the display of your image within the text area. This will allow one to post text and images all on the same page without uploading files or attachments.
If you have a note pad or text edit program handy, you'll need to save this short set of codes which allow the image in your going to associate with the post your entering.
The code necessary I'll be posting shortly is called a "tag" or "Css code" and is used to redirect and post an image from another to this text area and displaying within the boundaries of the frame. Here is the short simple code one can use with a few modifications from time to time to post your image here:
<img src="http://where-your-image-is-stored.jpg" width=300 height=400 />
Note:
1) The (
http://etc) part is a redirection to where your image is located. The image can be located on another photo storage server like photobucket, flickr etc. assuming you know the code's URL and even some sites will display this code for you, in order to do just this type of image relocation.
2) The (width=xxx height=xxx) represent a good maximum image size viewable on the page without adjusting.
Keep in mind some browsers will not allow for the "HTML" tab located just below the text block or box to added the said code above so one may need up adding or uploading attachments anyway.
So after altering the code to suit my needs, I'll add an image to the this text field as to show everyone what will be viewable to others.

In this case I added another part to the front and end of the code or tag line to center the image.
Hope this helps other find new ways to post image quicker and easier instead of waiting for upload attachment speeds.
