My name is Ronnie and I live in Fort Lauderdale Fl. I work as a non-paid volunteer for the Sheppard's Way Ministries, from the First Christian Church. We feed 53 families once a week for many years. I also am a non-paid volunteer for Vetsunited.org in Miami we will feed 300 families on Sep 25 a total of 12,500 pounds of food. Not to mention all the other good things we do like burying homelrss vets and helping families. I also volunteer non-paid for The National Coalition for the Homeless and Americorps Vista. They both provide housing and food kust to name a few things. I also volunteer non-paid for Veteranssupportfl.org Let me tell you about Richie and Michelle who started this back in 2001. He was inspired to help when he saw a vat freezing to death with noyhing but a shirt and pants on, and when he tried to get him help nobody would so he took him to Walmart bought him clothes,fed him and gave him 20 bucks. That inspired them to start a food bank. Yhey have fed thoudsands of vets and others and provide housing for thousands through the years. Those guys who collect have come from being homeless to being fed, made to feel part of the human race agian. They are watched closely and they don't steal. They are given cloithes and food and then with the help of volunteers of America they find joibs. They house people with no money who are disabled and don;t get any checks of any kind. They loose money because those collections don't covrer the bils.These are two of the kindest good hearted people I have ever met. They work at this at least 80 to 90 hours a week each and their work is thankless. I am a vet and I swear before God if we had more people like them we wouldn't need welfare and foodstamps. You sier have contempt prior to investigation. And I can promise you the money goes to feed and house veterans., and those few dollars those guys make a day is saved.
