Yes, this one was done with silver. The biggest thing I've found is the importance of contrast, and if your contrast isn't great, then you need to use a plate with wider lines.

... yup ... similar colours just blend together! ... I usually use dark blues, purples, cherries & blacks ... so I think I should be able to get away with silver ... I am a fan of the delicate plates ... assuming I can persuade them to work!

Yep, silver will be perfect on those colors. I'm manicure-less this week for the first time in months. Had stuff to do and no time, so it's a good time to let my nails rest with just some conditioner stuff on them.

But come Saturday...

LOL! ... no nail varnish? ... weird! ... *grins* ... I go bare every week or two for a couple of days, but for the most part I'm liking having nail varnish on ... it's super chipped right now, really need to re-do! x

This manicure is about 7 days old at this point, and ready to come off - it's starting to chip on the other hand. I designed this one to look sort of like old porcelain china. (The faded/missing area was on purpose!)

I used a bone color with a dark gray stamp pattern, then put a dot of gold glitter in the center and drew a few random lines with a gold sharpie. Then a very heavy coat of Seche Vite topcoat, which gave it a real porcelain-y look.

What do you think?

Love it!!   I need to get some nail design stamps.

Forgot to take a picture of last week's manicure - it was a rose-on-rose sort of color scheme.

I've done my nails 3 times this morning, and taken it off each time. I must not be in the right sort of creative mood. What a waste of time and polish!

3rd time's a charm... cute manicure using greens, white, gold, stamping snowflakes that turned into daisies. Photos once everything's dry & I get a top coat on.

Yay!

LOL! ... glad you got there in the end! ... daisies sound cute! ... I need to re-do mine, they're definitely at the "chipped" stage! x
