Red maple.  It's just one branch.  But still.....

The air outside feels like fall too.

I agree.  The wildflower patch has mostly faded.  I leave them where they are so they can scatter their seeds around, hoping they'll self sow for next spring.

Bruce the Spruce is well and growing.  I'll take a picture of his spiky little self soon and post it here.

We've had two rainy days.  I was able to work in the yard for a while yesterday morning because of the overcast and a temperature in the mid 80s.  I won't say it feels like fall, yet.  Maybe in a month or so.

Love the maples when they turn color.

It's funny that it was just that one branch that turned red.  But all of the red maples have changed color a little bit and are no longer bright green.  It's clear that they have started the transformation.

It sure felt like fall today.  Overnight temps are expected to be in the mid 40's.

He's doing fine!  :-)

I also added that pic to the Baby Spruce thread in the Trees and Bushes folder.  And I repaired that entire thread after that PhotoBucket disaster.

Our nights are still very warm.  Current temperature at 7:30 a.m. is 72; predicted highs in the mid 80s.  Not too bad for late summer.
