I think it is common throughout the US.  It doesn't seem to have a specific host tree.  It's in a number of trees in the neighborhood, usually up high.

I don't think I've ever seen it here either.  But I did see another species (desert mistletoe, in Saguaro National Park, Arizona) a couple years ago.

As far as I can see it is found in the warmer climes.

Yep, I think it only lives in the Southwest.  It's also distinctive among the mistletoes in that it is leafless.

Thank you, Lyndy.  Mistletoe is very common here in Georgia.  It's in the tops of many deciduous trees.
