Good news for the gun nuts. The rate of gun deaths in the United States rose to about 12 per 100,000 people, the second consecutive increase after a period of relative stability.

From the article:

Suicides account for about 60 percent of firearm-related deaths, and homicides about 36 percent, Mr. Anderson said. Unintentional firearm deaths and those related to law enforcement officials account for about 1.3 percent each. The rest are undetermined.

And did you happen to look at the number of gun deaths in other countries? How many US deaths will it take before Congress acts to start limiting these deaths?

If Americans are okay with a pile of dead children, they're never going to do anything about guns.

Maybe the US ought to give up on the war on drugs and instead deal with those who criminally misuse guns.

That would be everyone who doesn't lock up their weapons, with ammo locked up separately. That would be everyone who leaves a firearm where a child can find it. That would be everyone who sells a firearm to another person without doing a background check. That would be everyone who has an arsenal of semi-automatics.

Your obnoxiously, murderously, narrow definition of "criminally misuse" is rejected. YOU are denying people their right to life.

Ed Glaze's slavish support of the NRA dovetails neatly with his desire to cull the population.

You're right, and it's downright creepy.

… everyone who doesn't lock up their weapons, with ammo locked up separately.

Not criminal misuse under most circumstances.

… everyone who leaves a firearm where a child can find it.

Not criminal misuse.

… everyone who sells a firearm to another person without doing a background check.

Not criminal misuse.

… everyone who has an arsenal of semi-automatics.

Not criminal misuse.

Your obnoxiously, murderously, narrow definition of "criminally misuse" is rejected.

And your expanded defintion with little or no basis in current law and is also rejected.

Like a typical sociopath, you hide behind technicalities of the law.
