Aircraft Mechanics "Safe Place"

Hosted by AMThadenuff

What would be the polar opposite of northeast? Now you know who this forum is for. This forum is NOT supported or endorsed by any labor union. In fact, the union that represents the mechanics and related who work for [the polar opposite of northeast] will probably have a cow when word about this forum gets out. But since [polar opposite of northeast] management monitors Facebook and other social media more closely than NORAD watches for inbound ICBMs, the mechanics and related of [polar opposite of northeast] need a place to share information and to discuss the current state of affairs. While the union remains the official source of information, this forum gives mechanics from different areas and different stations a single place to communicate with one another. Whatever you do though, DON'T POST USING YOUR REAL NAME!!!!!. That would sort of defeat the purpose of keeping off of Facebook and Linkedin and Twitter. With that said, there must be rules. Foul language and slander will not be tolerated. Bashing the company, the union, fellow mechanics, supervisors, etc for the sake of bashing serves no purpose. Keep things respectful. The main purpose of this forum is to provide the mechanics around the system with a way to stay in communicate with each other just so we don't have to wonder if everyone is on the same page in regards to the issues we're facing.

Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to "Safe Place" (sarcasm intended) for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians

For the mechanics and related of a company that is the polar opposite of northeast. (Think about that for a second)

Not supported or endorsed by any labor union. In fact, our union will probably scream bloody murder when word about this forum gets out.

Oh well.

Use this forum to stay in touch and communicate with your fellow mechanics around the system, instead of having to wonder what the people at the other stations are saying, and if everyone is on the same page or not.

A few rules to consider:

No foul or abusive language. Lying and slander will not be tolerated. This is a moderated forum. We've all been in plenty of meetings with other mechanics present. Now you know why this forum is moderated.

No bashing the company, the union, fellow mechanics, supervisors, etc. That serves no purpose.

Some common sense advice:

Don't post under your real name. The company monitors Facebook and Twitter more closely than NORAD watches for inbound ICBMs. Using your real name would sort of defeat the purpose of staying off of Facebook. Post anonymously.
