In line with your point, at one time I owed 3 fire arms, and kept them unloaed in a unlocked closit, never had any ammo for any of them, they were mine by inheritance..

In my last ten years before retireent, I was  licenced foster parent, but bcause I traveled a lot, never took long term placements, usually ases where parent had died say

in traffic accident, so I would get the kid or kids for  few days until relatives or long term placement was found.

In the process of getting the license, I had to wade through tons of buracratic regs. One of which said that not only had my fire arms be no where near ammo, but they

had to be keept in a locked container, where only I had acces to the key. I can´t thin of any case where a kid in placement used a guadian´s fire arm, but since your

cases involve parents, should we not also make safety laws for parents? Maybe, better yet have them get a license before they even produce kids.

It is not just todders, who are pretty easy to solate from fire arms, the majority of deaths caused by kids using their parets"armory" involve teens.

Remember Columbine?

Failies of 30 victims recieved 2.5 milion coms out to about 93,000 per child, so what´s is a kid´s life worth? Most ofthe money came from the shooters parents home owners insurance,ao in effect it was other home owners had to eat the costs.

Adding, as an aside punishment for crimes of stupidity has a lot to do with who you are. For example, the Joan Carles , ather of the present king of Spain Father shot and killed his brother in the 50s. In 2012, the 13 year old granson of that king, shot his toe off during unsupervised target prctice. Spain has very strict gun laws, but the kid´s father, Duke of Lugo, was never charged with negligence.

In this case, if I had rummaged in my mother's or grandmother's handbag, I would have come up with a nub PDQ, such behavior was absolutely not considered polite nor correct.  As for having a cocked and unlocked weapon in a purse, STUPID is a term that leaps to mind, bad enough for a pro to have a loaded and unsafed firearm on his/her/its/their hip, even they shoot themselves from time to time.

I understand, and some people are just evil and do evil things. Criminals have guns and can continue to get guns. People are doing some terrible acts and kids are not listening to authority. Schools are not teaching values for this country and erasing history. Parents need to be wiser about guns too. World is getting more wicked everyday... just as God said it would be in the last days.

In no particular order...

Where did "God" say anything about the last days and about the world becomming more wicked?

You are correct about the education system not doing an adequate job about teaching values.

However, when they try to do so, there are supposedly well meaning parents undermining their efforts, when the

values taught, do not correspond with the parents values, and/or parents with our without values, and not

raising kids with positive values before they arrive at school in the frst place.

Can you give e a single example where this country, or any entity of it is erasing history¿?

For example if  you referring to confederate war memorials being removed, this is not erasing history,

because that history is still taught. In fact in many states such as where the Civil War is called

"the War Between the States" it is those states who are erasing history by pretending it was not

an illegal rebellion against America´s central government, which they lost.

Removal monuments of the criminal losers in that war, is not erasing history, it is correcting

it by not honoring the criminal traiters who fought against a democraticly elected government.

Initially, Public/Council schools were not intended for any more than generating workers, morals and socialization was entirely a function of the Church and Home.

Public/Council education for the masses was started in most of the world as a source of halfway competent folks to run the Industrial Machine that society was fast becoming.  Wielding a hoe or carrying horse droppings was no longer sufficient if you wanted more than entry level farm hands; apprenticeships took up to ten years to generate a competent journeyman IN HIS SPECIFIC area, not good enough for the mills and foundries springing up all over the place that needed workers NOW.

Well to do and gentry already had schools but they were very highly restricted to that class of person.  Scotland was probably the first English area with free Council Schools for the masses, some 200+ years before England.

Actually our topics are at odds. I was referring to schools as providing an education, which came first, your direction is towards schools as providing training - not the same as education. Greeks, Romans, and the Catholic church , all had schools long before the concept of training was relevant in their curiculum.

We Are Living In the Last Days!

There are so many signs that tell us we are living in the last days of earth's history. Not only do we have the main Bible signs, and the 6000 year timeline plan of God, we also have the apostle Paul's description of the last days in 2 Timothy 3.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 .....'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'

Would you agree that we are living in "perilous times"? I believe we are. But how can we be in the last days when so many people around the world are living normal happy lives, without a care in the world? ...

Matthew 24:37-39 ...'But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.'

Do you see? The reason so many people are carrying on as normal is because they don't see the signs and they don't know what is about to happen to this world. So they blindly carry on living as if nothing is going to happen, and these people will continue to live normal lives right up until the second coming of Jesus, at which point their lives will come to an abrupt end.

Let's look at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and compare what Paul says about the last days with where we are today in 2013.

In the Last Days People Will be Lovers of Themselves

Would you say that we are living in a world full of people who love themselves? In other words, people who put themselves first before God and everyone else? I believe we see that today, even in the churches. People are more concerned with how they look on the outside than how they are on the inside. This consumer age we live in is all about "Me Me Me!!" The tv, radio, internet and magazines are loaded with adverts to lure us into buying the newest thing, and we get sucked in every time.

The majority of people, even professing Christians, wouldn't look twice at a beggar or homeless person on the street, let alone help them. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of good people out there who are compassionate about helping others and putting Christ Jesus first in their lives, but the majority of people are really only interested in themselves. People's lives are so saturated with entertainment today that living a holy life of self denial for Christ is alien to them. Satan has deceived the world into thinking that spending more time watching tv, going to the cinema, playing games, socializing and reading novels than time with God is ok, "as long as you believe".

In the Last Days People Will be Covetous

Instead of seeking after heavenly riches, the majority of people today are seeking for material, worldly riches. We live in an age where people clamor for the latest things, and are always in want of more, whether it be money, cars, houses, clothes or holidays etc. And we have the prosperity gospel as an example of the covetous nature of even professing followers of Christ Jesus. So many people are lured into this false gospel with the promise of material wealth. It's nothing more than IDOLATRY.

Satan is the grand master at diverting people's attention away from God to themselves (and ultimately to Satan himself), and he has succeeded in luring the world into ungodly pleasures and desires.

In the Last Days People Will be Boasters and Proud

Pride is the cause of Satan's fall because he wanted to be exalted above God, and the world today is full of proud and boastful people. This isn't Christian pride, boasting about Jesus, this is worldly pride. Do you like to be the center of attention? Do you like to be accepted by the world as one of them? Do you like to be exalted and lifted up by others? This is pride. One of the reasons people seek after material goods and wealth is because of pride. They want to be able to boast about the things they have and what they have achieved in a worldly sense. LOOK AT ME is the way of the world today.

Matthew 23:12 ...'And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.'

In the Last Days Children Will be Disobedient to Parents

If you go back just 40 or 50 years you will find that children had far more respect for adults, but now we have a world full of children who have little or no respect for grown ups. Not only that, many children now have little respect for their parents. My job takes me around many schools and it is amazing to see how cheeky and disrespectful children are nowadays. And what makes it worse, governments are bringing in laws to stop parents punishing/disciplining their children, which causes the children to get away with a lot more.

Satan loves disobedience, and if he can get children to disobey at an early age, then they are going to find it more difficult to be obedient to God as they are growing up.

In the Last Days People Will be Unthankful

Just have a think about your daily life. Are you really thankful to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon you? Do you thank Him for waking you up in the morning? For feeding you? For providing you with a job and income? Do you thank Him for His wonderful creation? And most of all, do you thank God everyday for giving us His Son Christ Jesus? Do you contemplate that amazing sacrifice He made? Many of us are unthankful today because we have been conditioned by the world to HAVE things and just take it for granted. Now if Christians are like this, then what are those outside the faith like? We certainly live in a time of ungreatfulness. Spare a thought
