The 1st of the 06 peas made it onto the dinner plate last evening along with a great heaping bowl of fresh  lettuce. I would have taken photos but everyone cleaned their plate before I could reach for the camera. The full crop of early peas will be in full picking this weekend....where's the butter?

Oh, this morning the 1st strawberries made it into the bowl along with Kashi 7 Grain Flakes.  Yummy!

Last evening we started the fall crop of broccoli, brussel sprouts, and a summer picking of lettuce.  The squash will be planted as soon as the peas hand over the last picking.

We're trying for dwarf strawberries on our window sill. 

I'm not optimistic ...

That should work just fine.  Keep in mind that it takes 1 yr for the transplants to start producing and you rotate fields (pots) every other year or so.

What you really ought to grow is chocolate.....

I can grow chocolate to supply my habit?

Ah just finished a nice lunch, fresh picked multi color lettuce, the first head of brocolli, a can of Bumble Bee Salmon, mayo and a few raisins for great salad.........all of the veggies are mulched in for a dry summer, hopefully a few tomatoes in 2 weeks..........as soon as the peas are harvested the squash gets planted....the Swiss Chard is providing greens almost every day now.

27 peaches from one 36" high dwarf peach tree! A decent harvest considering we have had a very wet growing season.  They aren't as perfect as we would like, but the taste is um shall we say, outstanding! Oh, 100% organic to boot!



The rain has slowed the tomatoes by several weeks and their production is light.  We had an outstanding raspberry harvest.  Lot's of frozen berries in the freezer and some nice preserves for the morning toast. Garlic has been harvested and cukes have been planted in their place.

Ain't gardening fun?
