A ways back when courts ordered swimming pools to be integrated one solution was to close the pools. They've hit on the same idea here.
There were complaints about books in the library, one I have right here: Caste - The Origins of Our Discontents (race) and others (queer).
County Commissioners ban the books.
Furthermore, the County commissioners dissolved the library board and replaced it with members from the community who made complaints about the books in the first place. They then made it a policy that all books coming into the public library system had to be reviewed and approved by the board. However, Llano County commissioners made the decision at a special meeting where members of the community turned out to voice their support for the century-old library system. They decided to keep the library system open and comply with judge’s order to put banned books back in circulation.
I think it should have added 'while awaiting results of other court cases'.
In Florida much the same upheaval.
Gov Desantis takes control of schools and universities to wrest them from the claws of liberalism and especially all things race and queer.
Disney voices disagreement.
Gov takes over the special Disney World district.
Don't know how all these legalities work but Disney outfoxes Gov with some legal maneuvering and, to top it off, announces they'll be hosting a Gay Pride event!
Gov responds by banning any mention of queer from schools, k-12.
it's not looking like peace will break out soon ...

Maybe we can let some Christians here in the US know about this way to get to heaven?
Kenyan police have recovered 58 bodies, mostly from mass graves in a forest in eastern Kenya, thought to be followers of a Christian cult who believed they would go to heaven if they starved themselves, the country's police chief said on Monday.
