No constitutionsal change required. Vote old people out of office. 70 is a nice age to retire. Trump doesn't get up till noon and quits after a few hours. He's too old to give the public the service we need. Republican, Democrat, Socialist, what ever.

Vote the old folks out.

HPeeler, USN Ret, and yes, over 70.

Better yet fire congress, House and Senate, make lobbying illegal and give everyone over 50 the vote on all matters legislative. We the people will truly run the country. There fixed. Next?

Welcome to the forum. what does the average "over 50" know about the stuff they would vote on? Keeping the public informed would be a huge effort.

Yours is not a bad idea. Certainly worth consideration and development. Organized how? Would everybody get on-line and voice their opinion and vote on issues? A forum for 100 million people?

Strictly an automated system? Only a president? A cabinet would keep us in a system of buying influence. Replace the cabinet with automation? Computers don't have elections to fund, children in college or retirement to worry about.

Do we need a president to interface to foreign powers?

LOL. I would be happy if the voting age went back to 21 again. It went down to 18 because the draft was that age. The draft is gone so the vote should go back to 21 or even 25.
Trump was on Dr Oz before the election (Hellary was invited but never showed up). He said he has never needed much sleep. His only health problem was high cholesterol and being a little overweight. Never has had a drink of alcohol as alcohol killed his brother.

18? 21? 25? 35? Military service? Proof of reasonability test at any age? What question would you ask to confirm a person was not too stupid or crazy to vote?

Read and write English.
I guess that is not too important to some if they have mail in ballots?

?A good start. If you can't understand all aspects of the issues and clearly express your opinion why should you have the right to vote?

If we don't understand international economics why should our vote count? If we elect leaders who have the necessary insight what we get is "the best government money can buy".

We all have different opinions on what is best for us and who will give it to us. Problems come when people vote the way people in show business suggest they vote. I am not a fan of any of the rich and famous "entertainers" who campaigned for a certain candidate so I read the voters pamplet and other papers before casting my vote.
