Wars and military concerns. Past, present and future.
Iran has maybe 8 major cities with a population over one million. The country is maybe 800 miles east to west and 1,000 miles north to south. Maybe seven major sea ports. Most of its defenses are along the western border to Iraq and the Persian Gulf. If attacked from the south (Arabian Sea) its defenses would be minimal.
Recent history ... Israel attacked Iran missile sites in Syria. Iran attacks the Golan Heights.
Israel is a more modern but smaller force, but not one to be underestimated. I don't remember Israel having an aircraft carrier but they bare rich in missile ships. 1,000 mile range? I think we would gladly support them with a carrier.
Judging from recent attacks I would say Israel missile defenses were not that great. It doesn't seem the missiles were very advanced or powerful. Israel reports some minor damage but no casualties.
This info is incorrect. Iran fired first shots at israel, from Syria. Israel responded with missiles, by shooting Iran's missiles out of the sky, which were headed to Israel.
Np..I saw media put the other version out too, but later, it was corrected.
Let Saudi Arabia take care of Iran - or some other tribal niche that hate them too!
Oooops, I almost forgot, Saudi Arabia and U.S are strategic allies, and since President Obama took office in 2009, the U.S. has sold $110 billion in arms to Saudi Arabia. The National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013 began cooperating with the Saudi Ministry of Interior in an effort to help ensure "regime continuity" as history reveals...
Yes, they, the Saudi, are our "friends" And yes, we could or should do little in the Middle East without their support.
And most of all, America, the UK, France and Germany should STOP supplying them out ammunitions.
supplying them out ammunitions.
?That's billions that helps balance our budget and trade balance. We buy their oil and sell them last years technology. Using it against us would be difficult since we control spare parts.
Right on, how have I missed this!
