Religious reasons not considered should America support Israel or Islam?

Not being religious myself if I had to choose to preserve one and destroy the other which would I choose? Best choice would be to preserve both but if there be war between them which would I support? Israel is the more modern / western thinking (if you consider that is a good thing). Israel does not strap bombs to its children and order them to explode, killing innocents for the sake of terror.

If anyone has information to the contrary I would certainly give equal time to them.

Yes, not all Islamists are terrorists, but how do we decide who is and who is not? Countries that have let in refugees have discovered some were not innocent and some too easily turned to terrorism.

Isn't Israel a country?

And Islam a religious-cult that kills anyone other than their tribe preference? Such as Sunni kill Shia and vis versa?

Taliban, Al-Qaeda are followers of Wahhabism and Supported by Saudi tribe. Also some of them are told: 'if you kill 10 shia you will eat lunch with prophet in paradise!'

All correct, but besides the point. The lines being drawn are "Israel" or "Destroy Israel". Apparently everybody around Israel wants to see it gone.

Personally. I have no particular attachment to Israel. Terrorism offends me, Islamic or otherwise.

Absolutely, to paraphrase a good friend of mine that isn't Israeli or Jewish, but an ex-Christian aficionado said:

"I support Israel just because it's the only democratic county in the Middle East, that is surrounded by vultures, waiting for it to die and eat it up"

Acceptable for an attitude.

I agree with the second part, but Israel isn't the one causing the problems. Iran decided a long time ago. Israel's land belongs to her. Iran has no right to claim it.

What makes you think the land belongs to Israel?

Absolutely!

And aside off religious facts, archaeology has revealed that Hebraic people have always lived Israel.

Canaanite culture developed in situ from the earlier Ghassulian chalcolithic culture, which pioneered the Mediterranean agricultural system typical of the Canaanite region, which comprised intensive subsistence horticulture, extensive grain growing, commercial wine and olive cultivation and transhumance pastoralism.

Hebrew Bible

The Canaanites are mentioned often in the Hebrew Bible. The stories say that god promised to give the land of the Canaanites (along with land belonging to several other groups) over to the Israelites after they escaped from Egypt.

Yep, even the bible admits there were non-Hebrew people there before. Abraham settled in Canaan, right. Moses had to deal with them, too.
