Convenience of the party in power is under no, none, nada circumstances a valid reason do delay or change dates.

A major National Emergency, and I mean MAJOR, much, much bigger than WWII or the WTC event MIGHT be a decent reason.  As Federal elections are so decentralized and so many alternative ways exist to cast ballots, the extent of the emergency would have to be mind-blowing in impact to prevent all states from participating, a single state might have reason like during a hurricane or similar for a few days grace to allow the thing to pass.

Yellowstone finally blew it's cork and erupted. It would have to be that bad. Otherwise how do you hold on to power with trust? Do they have anything to say about genuine  trust?

Thinking about this poll a little longer and have to add that

They got a lot of nerve .
