Absolutely agree with knowing about other medications customer is taking. How many women know that if they are taking antibiotics while on the pill, they need to use a backup method of birth control because the antibiotic reduces the effectiveness of the pill? So many unplanned pregnancies happen because of this. Also, if you get sick within 2 hours of taking the pill, you need to use a backup method for the rest of the month. This is why pills are not 100% effective.

Why does sickness make the pill ineffective? What kind of sickness?

The kind that causes vomiting or diarrhea, because you will lose the pill before it digests and is carried from your bloodstream to the brain. The pill works by suppressing ovulation, which is stimulated by the brain releasing FSH--Follicle Stimulating Hormone.
