I’m not sure a temperature is the only indicator. Are there secondary infections common to this virus?

Fever and a dry cough are the symptoms that I've heard on the news. Some people experience other symptoms like the flu, others not. It's one of those just depends on the person thing.

I'm concerned for my husband since he's one of the at-risk people. So far we haven't had any cases in NJ but it's only time before it gets here.

Thank you. I didn’t take the time to learn that and I should have. Mi am hoping as we get into spring and warmer weather the virus lessens.

Nearly all the deaths in the USA have been in ONE nursing center in Kirkland, WA.  Pretty tight epicenter and an illustration of close living among fragile elderly effects on epidemiology of the disease.  Close to 10% of residents have died (9 of 108 at latest count I found).

Correct. I think there is another place in the same Puget Sound area. All those who have died had other problems they were being treated for. The rest of us can orobably get by with rest, fluids and antihistame.
I still believe my weekly eating of chicken with bone soup has kept me without a cold for over 7 years. It brings a lot of mucus out of the head.

A generous dollop of Vick's on the upper lip or chest will do the same thing and has just as much effect overall, not much.

Hydration and a reasonable diet with proper rest are the main things.  Also avoid the ill.

A defense of the nursing homes; keeping the elderly and debilitated  hydrated and fed sufficiently for health is difficult, this group is notoriously resistant to feeding and drinking.  Chronic UTI or sepsis loom large in most nursing facilities regardless of physical care given.

That is true but people are in such care centers because they have health problems not manageable at home. We have no idea of the quality of care they had or for what. All that has been said is that there were two different places involved, both in the Puget Sound area. No word on if they are part of the same company or are serviced by same help and health care professionals.

Life Care of Kirkland is the main location.

The Seattle-King County Health Department has announced that there are 15 new coronavirus patients being transferred out of the Life Care facility in Kirkland.

Following complaints from patients’ loved ones, Gov. Jay Inslee said the state would set up an incident command post specifically for long-term care facilities.

The state is working with Life Care to allow family members to take their loved ones home if possible. The state would help provide enough equipment for those who are not infected and need care that can be provided at home, King County Executive Dow Constantine said.

The Seattle-King County Health Department sent in a University of Washington doctor to report on the conditions of the facility. He said the facility is immaculate and the clinical support staff is working as one would expect, but there are some signs of stress.

There is another one mentioned on the news. They are two different levels of care.
Easy to be "immaculate" when being in the news after patients died. Some felt that people in one "home" were visiting those in poor health in the other and picking it up and bringing it back.

According to your post, there are 4 counties involved. Only 2 have been mentioned on the news here.
How come a Pendleton (EasternOregon by Columbia R) casino worker got the virus but a lot of people in that area didn't get sick?
