This is the first I have heard of it. I would worry most about fruit flies.

They are worried about fish.  I don’t know, it seems like the amount is too small to change the ecobalance.

OK. I just saw it. I was there in the 70's, trying to go to Ft Ross. It may kill some plants and fish but as it is not poison, everything will come back.

Except the wine. That is gone.  It doesn’t make sense that an equipment failure released the wine and that it all ended up in the waterways.

No, it does not. Makes me wonder. Shouldn't equipment have safety devices for places like that?

They claim the safety device failed.

When we take a car for a tune up at license renewal time a mechanic is supposed to test drive and check everything. One would think that an expensive company like that would also get a checkup on schedule.
