I am looking for another resource for this since so many refuse to read Fox.  Children with special needs, autism, disabilities must be in school. They may never recover the time they lose.

What is the solution? A partial reopening where students are temperature tested every day before entering the campus, as well as screened for oxygenation by putting a finger into a reader.  Parents who don’t want to send their children to school should be able to work from home until a vaccine is available.  We are just pushing the decision out but eventually it will have to be made.  Children can’t stay at home forever, virus or not.

too many choices. I guess very carefully would be the best answer. Each school district area has a different COVID situation and different risks. Most are taking a hybrid approach unless they have a high positivity COVID rate - in those cases online only for now is the safest option.

The idea that all schools should reopen immediately is ridiculous and unsafe

Mandatory temperature testing to start with then part time school to see how kids react after being gone a long time.

I think careful reopening in test schools would be a good way to start. I’m very worried about special needs children who can’t get what they need except one on one.

Yes, everything should be careful and gradual. These kids have been through a very unusual time like no other student ever has.
