Often they stick with the demons they know, as bad as they are, rather than step off into the unknown.

Darn, now you sent me off on a side trip I don’t have time for today. In 2018, the U.S. median age was 38.1.  Jowls that possible if our birth rate  is falling?

That is the safety valve for a lot of problems in a country - expats working and living abroad where there are better opportunities or resources one needs that don't exist at home.

And of course the insulin situation is just the tip of the iceberg these days.

Dental care is another one. a surprising number of people die from complications of an untreated tooth infection that spreads to the brain because they couldn't afford to see the dentist and hoped it would go away on its own.
