I did not vote yet, but I will. I’m still thinking about it.  It was the strangest debate.  I’m not reading any media evaluations of it, as people tend to see what they want to see.  in the first half hours, I felt sorry for Biden because he looked completely lost. Wallace was very kind in directing easy questions toward him and trying to protect him, but a few times Biden fumbled.  As it was he has trouble sticking to the question and gave prememorized answers, where Trump thinks better on his feet and was able to gear his answers toward the comments.   A few times, and very obviously at the end Biden was listening to something that wasn’t there.  Watching his face and his eye movement he was listening to something and it was not the president.  Perhaps someone put a bug in his ear?

Bug checking was an issue brought up by Trump's staff but left unsettled.
I felt Biden really got tired at the 60 minute mark. Started repeating himself. Voice seemed tired. Will have to rewatch it.
Love or hate Trump, he was himself.
Wallace was probably thinking about retiring. He started with Baba Wawa on 2020. Maybe his time is about over?

I didn’t see a winner or a debate. Every time they started to debate, Wallace interrupted.  He became the center of the debate, not the candidates. They never got a chance to debate ideas. Wallace essentially muzzled Trump. Biden was only given a chance to spout memorized platitudes. A few times I thought Biden was losing it.  I was worried he would not be able to get through the full 90 minutes. Trump was obvious frustrated at not being allowed to respond to attacks. Wallace was a disappointment. I thought he was better than that.

It was a strange debate. More like an interview. Glad I recorded it. I want to rerun it and see what Biden's goals are outside of winning.

He didn’t state any goals that I noticed.  He repeated things we already knew and attacked Trump.  It wasn’t a debate, it was more like a press conference. For some reason, Wallace did not want them to debate each other.  He is a bad moderator which is why both men interrupted him and each other. A good moderator doesn’t insert himself or herself into the debate.  The questions were odd too, they were not uniform.

It was worse than a press conference, although Biden got a nice little speech in with a direct stare into the camera. Don't know what it is about Biden but he seems to look like he is about to cry.
BTW, did you know that Chris Wallace is married to Dick Smothers' ex?

I don’t know much about Chris Wallace.   She must be somewhat older?  Biden was a deer in the headlights.  I felt badly for him.  I saw this. It’s not a surprise, many came from socialist countries because they wanted to escape all that. Many are Catholic or other Christian.

This was extremely interesting. Many are legal immigrants or children and grandchildren of them and they do not want to compete with illegals for jobs.
I have noticed that many politicians have tried to build support for illegal immigration by Spanish speaking people. I don't think most legals feel that way.

Wallace is the son of late Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes fame. He will be 73 on Oct 12. First network show was on 2020. His wife is 12 years younger. Her ex was Dick Smothers, the dark haired one.
