I see. Complex politics. What do your politicians typically do after they leave office?

Most join Boards of corporations or think tanks, some write books or some combination of the two, in a few cases they return to practicing Law.

When someone is expecting a baby, it's very, very common for those related to, friends, and those that are around the expecting person/couple to ask among themselves which side of the family, and/or which parent they think the child will most resemble. Prince Harry was likely not aware of those types of conversations, and so may have been surprised by it. When he told Meghan, she likely put the idea of someone being concerned about the child's skin color in there herself, which then, of course, would have upset, and shocked Prince Harry.
I found it interesting that in the book, Royally Suited, Harry, and Meghan in their own words, Meghan brings up racism. On page 52, one finds the following: "My dad is Caucasian, my mom is African-American. I'm half black, and half white". "Feeling to light in the black community, too mixed in the white community for castings."
It sounds a bit as though she was blaming race when she didn't get a part she auditioned for. Too Black, too Mixed, too White for the part? If she didn't get parts she auditioned for, it couldn't possibly have been due to the casting director not being impressed with how she read for the part, or something of that nature, or perhaps her attitude. Nope had to be her race. I'm not saying she has never experienced racism in her life, but she has lived a rather privileged life.

I didn’t think about that but it could have been as innocent as someone wondering if their child would favor Harry, with fair skin, freckles and red hair, or Meghan, who may be half black but she is more light completed than not. That could be why she didn’t name the person, because if it was explained reasonably that would not fit her narrative.
Racism didn’t factor into being hired for Suits. Meghan is a beautiful woman and an adequate actress. Much goes into casting that has nothing at all to do with race. In fact, I watched Suits for years and didn’t even realize Meghan was black until reading an interview where she was accusing someone else at the time of racism.
With child actors, they usually want them to resemble the actors cast as parents, so it is actually much harder for a mixed race child actor to be hired for a role than a Black actor if the parents are Black.

This is what I feel as well, she’s soft pedalling that aspect, there is no way she would not have known.

That’s a polite way to say she lied. When I read about their huge Netflix deal it all made sense. I bet their film contribution is a complete thrashing of the royals.

Yeah, she lied, it’s pretty clear but at the same time brought forth pretty legitimate concerns as well, take some good, some bad I suppose. The Netflix deal confuses me, I thought it was simply a deal for Meghan to work as she always intended, as talent, not sure how Harry fits in as he’s as dull as dishwater, EP perhaps? Lots of EPs have no practical producing experience, it’s all about the points of profit.
